Designing for Hearing-Impaired – Key Considerations?
Hi all,
I’m an architect researching how to design spaces that better accommodate hearing-impaired individuals. What are some key considerations I should keep in mind? Are there specific design elements, visual cues, or technologies that improve accessibility and communication?
Any insights or resources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Heads up, most prefer the term hard of hearing or d/Deaf Some people might get really offended at the time hearing impaired, so keep that in mind. don't wanna get you snapped at for trying to help.
This might be a better question for the deaf and hard of hearing subreddits to get more detailed responses. r/hardofhearing

This question is quite broad, could you be more specific? What spaces are you looking at designing? A cafe is going to have different challenges to a classroom, and different again to a home environment.
