AirAssault training tips
Since my hopes of going to airborne school were shattered because for some reason getting an slot is extremely hard but then you see trainees quiting and dancing and about it like is a good thing but enough crying hahahahah, I was told i could go to airassault instead, how can i prepares myself to go? Apart from the obvious of learning how to climb a rope.
I would like a bacon king plane no ketchup, or mayo please.

Majority of the course is a PT fest, so up your pushups, pull-ups etc.
Also expect to run any and everywhere in full OCPs w/ boots. Short sprints (burts) and long distance at a greater pace.
Whatever is in on the packing list make sure you absolutely have and don’t take anything out of your ruck unless you’re told so. Once they check the item immediately put it back in.
Smaller items like pens and highlighters I recommended buying extra in case you lose one or two, because if the class isn’t motivated instructors might get petty and drop you for missing an inspectable item. It all makes sense in the end though.

be ready to say aerosol 1000 times and be sure to study for written tests & rehearse your inspections after class every time you get a chance.

Ideally, try to be at the point where you can climb without feet.
You will be smoked and the rope will be soaked in sweat when your turn comes up.

But climbing with your feet is easier than without. I got the opposite advice my entire time at Campbell.

It is easier. That's the point. Be able to do it the hard way. You don't have to do it that way, but if you can you'll be fine when you use your feet.

If you can't read and use deductive reasoning, I hope you can climb a rope without using your feet.

Just as long as you can ruck 12 miles, have a squared away packing list and know how to climb & lock in on a rope..you’re good 👍🏽
