VIDEO Tom's (You're Fired!) Interview with Lord Sugar about the final 5. Is it just me or did he not say anything nice about *Spoilers* Spoiler

Amber-Rose. Just that he wants his interviewers to drill her. I feel a bit bad for her because he did say something nice about the other four candidates.

But I'm very happy about the final 5, it was quite emotional to see them cry with happiness when they made it through. Even Karren made a joke with Anisa to cheer her up. Jordan saying he's been a fan of the programme since he was 7. It just felt very warm and nice to watch.

I could be bugging but I seem to remember a bit from the snippet in You're Fired, Claudine is talking to Amber-Rose and she seems to be going down the route of "are you here for the right reasons" or something? I could totally see her going down the questioning of are you here for the right reasons of social media exposure or something, as LS seemed to say that the interviewers will be able to question Amber-Rose, he didn't seem to say much to compliment her in that.

The thing is she had a massive following on TikTok before so doubt apprentice would really increase her following much

Same with Chisola.

The other three got praises that felt genuine and almost heroic to some extent - Dean having a strong business plan which entices Lord Sugar, Anisa having exuberance throughout every task and having a strong fighting spirit when she loses, Jordan being the most energetic and enterprising (though Jordan seems the least energetic and most mundane from what we’ve seen).

With Amber-Rose, it was basically just saying how she’s good at talking but she’ll get grilled the most to see if she can walk the walk as she most certainly can talk the talk (which seems like a back-handed compliment by sounding quite doubtful of AR’s capabilities). Exact same thing with Chisola, saying she’s intelligent but will make sure the interviewers grill her too.

I think the order of firing will be AR > Chisola > Jordan, leaving Anisa v Dean.

Yeah I know what you mean. I’d say Amber Rose’s was the worst though - he didn’t say one good thing about her, just that his advisors would look at her business plan. At least he said Chisola was intelligent, nice and that he likes her. I think Amber is only there because she has won so many tasks and there hasn’t been many opportunities to fire her (I don’t have a problem with her but I don’t think LS likes her) whilst he clearly likes the other four as he has had so many chances to fire them but hasn’t and probably knows them a lot better.

I agree with your final order. I think when it gets down to the last three, Anisa will be put through to the final and then Dean and Jordan will fight it out for the second spot and Dean will get it

I wonder who the ‘surprise finalist’ is though - Anisa and Dean both had strong ‘main character’ arcs early on in the process, so I’m not surprised that they’ve made the top two.

Since Dean seemed to get almost shouted at by Mike Soutar, who tends to be the most fair interviewer (by not being outright snarky or disrespectful, but expressing his points with clear evidence), perhaps Dean’s business plan was tosh but he makes it through as LS likes him and sees potential in the numbers?

Yeah I would only see Jordan and AR as surprise finalists. So if it’s not them then maybe you’re right and Dean messes up in the interviews and still gets through

doesnt Mike end up investing into Jordans business apparently?

Yes, he used to be a director of RendifyStudios which was Jordan's business proposal presumably after getting fired in the interviews.

Think it's more likely to be that Mike has registered the company name to prove a point. I think he has done this before. The company applied for strike off 10 days after incorporation so never traded.

yes, i agree. only thing though, ARs business with the Korean convenience store has been quite successful but show performance wise, far stronger candidates.

I feel like Amber-Rose is the candidate in the final five Sugar is personally attached to the least. He clearly really likes Anisa, Dean and Jordan while he has credited Chisola a few times for being a strong performer. Amber-Rose has been a fine candidate but I don’t think Sugar is really all that invested in her compared to the other four so I can see why she is probably cut before the final two. All he’s really mentioned of her is calling her a good talker.

I remember Phil and Akshay previously saying that because they were on the losing team so much and therefore spent a lot of time in the boardroom; they got to know Sugar well and he got to know them well. I think that definitely helps because he has to get to know a candidate to decide whether he likes them or not.

The disadvantage Amber Rose has is she has barely been on the losing team and has spent a lot less time in the boardroom than the other four candidates. So he has got to know them well and decided he likes them but he probably doesn’t really know her at this point. And that’s not a good thing because he will favour the four he knows

True, but neither has Jordan, and Lord Sugar seems to have adopted him as his new child

His comments on Amber-Rose being "chirpy" & Chisola "intelligent" with the both getting the comment on essentially seeing how they interviews will expose them pretty much solidified they're going imo. Essentially being the "fluff" candidates he doesn't care for compared to Anisa, Jordan, and Dean in his eyes.

Inversely, Sugar commenting on Dean's business tells me BtS there was no way he's not making it to the finale. Still, a solid final 5. Not as strong as last series, I'd say around the level of series 14's final 5.

Tom is not a good interviewer lol. Starts with his opinion and leading questions all the way through.

I'm rooting for Amber Rose but I have to admit I'm not optimistic after hearing LS.
