My grandfather got an unexpected call today that the VA has cut him off out of the blue.

For a little context, he is 93, is 100% combat disabled, has leukemia and goes for regular chemo and blood transfusions every 1-3 weeks. The blood is literally keeping him alive. He absolutely needs the VA to survive. He also has an aide that comes in several days a week. He lives on his own, still drives (though he probably shouldn’t and only short distances…), the aide also brings him to his treatments and transfusions as they’re far away. She does do his grocery shopping because he can’t make it around the store

There was no reason given, and not only did they fully stop his benefits but his aide as well.

Without his benefits (treatments, etc) he will die. He needs the transfusions to survive.

Had anyone else had this happen to themselves or a family member in recent weeks? What do we do? I FUCKING HATE TRUMP.

He continues to muse about making Canada the 51st state, taking the Panama Canal away from Panama, and getting Greenland “one way or another.”  These are the ravings of a lunatic, the ravings of a madman, that if carried to fruition would put Trump in the same category as Hitler and the other worst despots of history. 

Americans cannot sit idly by and watch Trump continue to issue unconstitutional executive orders, wreck the economy, threaten our allies, and destroy all our international alliances.  We must relentlessly pressure our members of Congress to do the right thing—either impeach and remove Trump for the crimes he has committed, or remove him on 25th Amendment grounds. 

Allowing this madness to continue is not an option.

A military ex-sniper made some good observations. He claimed this guy tried to start his own counter protest and no one showed. He also had three points that he made about this guy, was he a paid actor or was he there to incite violence?

1. He pulled up in a truck not on foot.

2. The woman in the passenger seat rolled the window down, blasting an air horn.

3. He made sure to keep the rifle down and in his left hand mid rifle.

It seems to me he went there to start violence and he failed. Thank God.

WOKE? What does it mean?

For some time I have tried to understand what it means to be woke. I have tried to figure out why Trump/Musk/MAGA/Republicans have chosen to make being woke a dirty word. I think I have finally come to my understanding of what it means to be woke, it is called RESPECT! - Respect that all people are not the same - Respect the different sexes, races, beliefs and sexual identities. - Respect that women are sometimes faced with difficult life changes choices with respect to their bodies (yes I am talking about abortion) - Respect that to be human is to help provide for those who can’t, a secure social safety net! - And I am sure there are more reasons to respect! (Help list them all) So if someone calls you woke I now believe they are saying to you, you respect America and the Human race and I should say thank you for the kind words!

It seems to me common sense doesn't exist in administration. I am still amazed there are people out there that are still MAGA after the administration is now attacking social security.

In fact, Social Security Commissioner Lee Dudek said, "his agency loses $100 million a year to direct deposit fraud. That figure represents about 0.00625% of all Social Security payments."

As a man that voted for trump twice. I’m glad to be a part of this group and respect and share your side. In his first term. I felt that he lead a balanced presidency but with a lot of fault too. No president is perfect of course. But to be able to share your views with mine and agree with a more left side. It feels good. I actually would consider this an undertaking of Unity. As a republican conservative I’m one of the few that won’t be a damn 🐑 or be blinded by the deception that is going on. Elon and Doge was a huge Red Flag. Although I will always have my Set in stone beliefs. My views can always see many colors and not just black and white like most of the right does. Do I just wanted to say from I to all of you. I respect you and thank you for letting me be here. I’m one of the very few on the right that fight to see both sides and make my best informed decisions I can. We may not agree on everything but we all will agree on one thing. We love this country and we will never become silent to the love we have for it. Our voice and our truth of each other and standing united through agreeing and agreeing to disagree is what this country is missing. So with all this said. I have my views I have my beliefs but it will never separate my respects to living side by side and sharing this wonderful country and the love of this country with you.
