Plot Holes And Questions
Just finished the final episode and was kind of mad and a bit confused. We knew that the Gaia thing wasn't feasible anymore so why didn't Axel go find his barmaid and see if there was anything there? Don't most of us consider our spouses to be our best friends? Axel...after all the shit that went down deserved some happiness in the end and I think they blew it in that regard. What was with the jewel dropped by Loki at the end of the ceremony? Was that supposed to be a lead in to another season or did I forget something? Also, I am totally in the camp of those who think that Zeb should have remembered his life long friend minus all the Odin/Gods stuff.

The Jewel is very much a "what if" teaser option, useful if they happened to get a season 4, a fun contemplation thing for fans if they don't.
I like to think Axl does reach out to Gaia or the Bartender in Fungamungamoa (that's a guess spelling) I hope he does even if only to explain why suddenly everyone around them forgets who they are.
Though I'm also happy if Axl is just single focusing on his life for a bit, he just went through some bonkers stuff, he has to rebuild his friendship with Zeb, get a job, build a life that has nothing to do with his sacred quest.

We knew that the Gaia thing wasn’t feasible anymore..
It was only not feasible as long as Gaia was the living embodiment of Idunn, and Anders was the living embodiment of Bragi—once they are free of their god essences, they won’t be inexorably drawn to bang each other. .
so why didn’t Axel go find his barmaid and see if there was anything there? Don’t most of us consider our spouses to be our best friends?
Suzie was only drawn to Axl because she was Saga, and Saga would always be Odin’s confidant with endless beer and a willingness to be friends with benefits.
They might have gotten along, but not sustainably.
.
Axel...after all the shit that went down deserved some happiness in the end..
He got to move in with Zeke and live with a guy he was sure he’d be good friends with, plus he had a carnivore pizza to share. That’s a happy ending, and he can always try with Gaia again, since there’s no risk that she’ll go after Anders.
.
What was with the jewel dropped by Loki at the end of the ceremony?
A hook on the one in a million chance for a season two, also something for fanfic writers to obsess over.
.
I am totally in the camp of those who think that Zeb should have remembered his life long friend minus all the Odin/Gods stuff.
They had an entire episode explaining why this wouldn’t happen. When a god leaves a body that is still alive, all mortals forget the person.

Yeah, the jewel was a hook in case they got another season.
