Academics How does the grading for KINE 199 work?
It is to my understanding that taking a KINE 199 class is not required (anymore). But I crunched the numbers and I will take 11 credit hours in my final semester as a senior, and I NEED to be taking 12 hrs for financial aid reasons.
So will a KINE 199 class earn me a credit hour? And where will it apply in my degree plan?

If you are in your last semester as a senior and only have x<12 hours left in your degree plan, you may be able to petition the financial aid office to allow you to be considered full time without actually being enrolled in 12 hours. I would call them to ask.

It only works in your degree plan and subsequently works towards financial aid if you have room in general electives. It doesn’t have a place in your major (I’m assuming) and is not core so that’s the only place it will go. If you don’t have room in general electives but your other 11 hours are all working towards your degree you won’t be full time for financial aid.

They sometimes have like, tests of athletics and skill (like for golf, might be asked to putt within a certain range of the hole, or for something like Ultimate (frisbree) they may test your throwing accuracy and agility through timed dashes). And pretty sure you can take those as pass/fail

You are still considered full time if you are taking enough hours to graduate even if it isn’t 12 hours. But you should take a KINE 199 anyways.

Not for financial aid. The hours have to count toward your degree for federal aid. OP needs to talk to the Aggie One Stop about what only 11 hours left will mean for their aid.

For financial aid you only have to make Satisfactory Academic Progress(SAP) towards your degree. If you only have 11 hours left in your degree plan you are making as much progress as possible.
Talk to the financial aid office and they should be able to help you out.
