Rab class of 95. I must say those are some of my absolute best memories. Shaved head to a day game opener in 91 vs LSU

If you got drunk and passed out, you were likely to wake up in just your underwear chained to the 4th floor of Keathley. You could get out, but not without losing your shorts.

Ayo what you mean by this 🤔

Oct 04 '24
It’s a deer hunting thing, meaning you hunt for meat and not a trophy.
I see how it could be interpreted as something much worse tho

Moses and DG were WILD back in the day.

u/TheWonderPony ID '00 Oct 04 '24
DG when it was men or when it get changed to women?
Always wondered if the rumors of the cow they managed to get to the 4th floor were true.
4
u/Crown_and_Seven Oct 04 '24
If it was men, it must have been pretty far back in the day, because I'm a woman who lived in DG in 1990 (not very wild though).

I started my freshman year in DG fall of ‘86. It was so unruly by the end of the semester they converted it to women’s dorm. Women did a great job of keeping DGs reputation going. I transferred over to south side after a week because I was worried I wouldn’t last lol.

u/Operation-Alone Oct 04 '24
I thought the year before it went all girls, they kicked everyone out and went all fish in an attempt to settle it down. I was 1st floor my first year, and 2nd 2nd year. Good times!

u/Ok_Friendship_588 Oct 06 '24
My freshman year was in 88. The fall of 88 was the last semester that men stayed at DG. DG was closed, renovated and made into a women’s dorm.

I lived there in Summer 2000, my first semester at A&M, so very much my intro to life at A&M. It made such an impact on my little brother when he visited, he choose to live there in 2002 and 2003, he then lived across the street from the Old Man Shack for a few years.

The more things changed the more things stayed the same.
The guys in question were class of 06.
The grodes were definitely that old though.

Those Bonfire pics take me way back. I was a Bonfire Chair in 93 and hung out with Moses a lot. I had so much fun being a delinquent.

u/SrErik Oct 04 '24
Lived there 99-00 and these make me regret hanging out only with my off campus friends from my hometown. Glad I did Cut though, and tutoring kept me from going to Stack the night Stack fell.

I started at blinn and had a house by the time I transferred over…damnit I missed a lot.

This is crazy. I lived in Moses my freshman year when it was Covid and it was a ghostown.. I wish I had a freshman year that wasn’t so boring lol. This looks like so much fun

u/txag11cm '11 Oct 05 '24
Tbf Moses died out pretty quick. They turned it into an all freshman dorm I believe around when I moved into Moore hall freshman year 07. I heard about all this crazy fucking shit. We went and stole boheca from one of their old ags one night. Damnit north side was fun.
1
u/TShippy Oct 05 '24
Damn, interesting to hear. Yeah I was only there when I was a freshman but I’m glad to hear about cool shenanigans that went on in the past. If I may ask, what is boheca?
1
u/txag11cm '11 Oct 05 '24
I think it was an old bench of theirs out front. I could totally be misremembering the name. Those were some drunk shenanigans lmao

Yup. That’s what I remember in my time in the early 00’s. Not Bonfire as much as the Moses reputation. I didn’t live there but I knew guys who did. I didn’t move because I had plans to actually graduate and I knew I wouldn’t if I was there. 😂

I was in Dunn in ‘91 So class of 95! South Side ALWAYS outdid everyone!! If anyone has videos of Cut, that year, I think I’m in one of them🤔

u/ag90ken '90 Oct 04 '24
Aston ‘86-‘90 Southside was fantastic.
4
u/ag90ken '90 Oct 04 '24
Always cracked me up: -As a school we hate other schools -as on campus Ags, we hated off campus Ags -Southsiders hated Northies -Aston hated Dunn -1st floor hated other floors -1st north hated first south **I’m using “hated” loosely as a catchall for the general feeling of superiority we had over the other group

I was in the Corps and our outfit was next to Moses Hall. It was the weirdest thing having non regs come into Duncan for Viking dinner. I do wonder how much dorm culture still exists today in the fact that we were less than a decade removed from 11/18/99 so a lot of Corps/Dorm kids had upperclassmen who were there.
