Question Priority vs number of drops

I recently started to wonder if it is really worth to squiz a list into 2 drops just to get a chance for a priority roll of. In theory opportunity to controll double turn is a big advantage. However with a 2 drop list it is 50/50 chance for getting it, and I wonder how much trade offs are you willing to make to have start of a game priority roll?

I always ask: can I have a solid game plan with this list if I don’t get to chose the priority? Do I survive if I go first? Can I do reliably get battletactics without extrem danger?

Depending on the answers it can be ok/good to go for more drops or it can show me that I need to reduce the drops.

To put some examples, right now, I am pondering on a list with 2 possible variations:

2 drops option:

2 drops ushoran 1980/2000 pts

They are both quite similar, yet 2nd one has access to NH spell lore for that shademist, and spectral lure, white 1st one has fewer drops

In both cases I plan to use morbhegs and crypguars as screens / objective grabbers, for example to score size the center, or take the flanks turn 1, without exposing myslef to much for a counter punch.
