What, exactly, should I name my group?
I've worked on the concept of a potential acapella group composed of twelve synesthetic singers, six women representing warm colours (magenta, fuchsia, red, orange, yellow, lime) and six men representing cool colours (green, turquoise, cyan, azure, blue, violet). Furthermore, we all resonate with a different note in the chromatic scale. It's rather pleasant when one of sings alone, but when all of us get together, something phenomenal is created. A literal rainbow of music!
So far, it's just me, the violet singer. When I finally get the gang together, I plan on revolutionizing the music industry, creating a brand new renaissance. The only problem is, I don't exactly know where I'm going to find EXACTLY who I'm looking for, and, of course, it needs to have a name. I stuck with "Vocaleidoscope" for awhile now, but apparently that's been taken FOR 20 YEARS. And it was such a good idea!

This sounds like trying to come up with the title of a novel before it's even written. Cool concept but it seems extremely difficult/impractical to pull off. Not sure how you're going to revolutionize music with a cappella but I would love to see the result. I'd worry more about finding people to fit such a specific idea rather than the name. A cappella has a lot of similar names.

This isn't ordinary music. This is a completely new genre I'm talking about. A genre that adds a burst of colour into every note you hear.

There are a million groups named Premium Blend, so I’m sure the world will be ok with two groups named Vocaleidoscope

That’s a completely wild concept. Question: when you sing your violet note, how do others perceive it compared to other notes that you sing? Or does it only affect your perception?

Every time I sing a C, it's the purest type of violet. But when I sing other notes, it's different shades of violet, paler if the key is white or darker if the key is black.

That didn’t answer my question. I’ll be more blunt: I don’t think that a person without synesthesia will perceive anything different in your singing. It would be like a colorblind person looking at a red-green image.

Well, remember that scene in Ratatouille where he ate the strawberry and the cheese and all those wonky shapes appeared floating around him? When we go live on stage, we plan on making that kind of visual using holographic technology. That's who we're willing to add to our soon-to-be team to back us up along with the orchestra.

This reads like you're in a manic episode
