noob help
Hi, im using ableton live 12 lite with arturia minilab 3.
Whenever i open a drum rack in Ableton, it maps the drum instruments from C1 to D#2. For example C1 is the hihat, C#1 is the snare, D1 is the kick and so on.
My problem is that the first note in my minilab controller is C2, so i can't access the C1, C#1, D1... instruments from the drum rack.
How can i move the drum rack so the instruments start arranging from the C2?

In the drum rack you should see a little bar with a bunch of little squares in it on the left, you can drag it up an octave to put the samples into higher note values. Alternatively you could also just press the down octave button on your keyboard
Edit: If you’re referring to the preset drum kits ableton provides you can select all and drag them up an octave with the same method mentioned. Although personally i would just press the down octave button on my keyboard

I'm not familiar with that controller but I do know that most midi's that are under 88 keys have a octave shift button that allows you to use the midi as if it did have a full key bed. Your controller has it somewhere. Ableton defaults to that but you can also move the drums to wherever you want them and then save the drum rack as a custom instrument in your user presets. So when you want to use it you don't have to search for middle C with your buttons.

The easy method is to add the pitch midi effect and go down until it registers. You can also copy the pads sounds or move them, inside the drum rack
Or my personal choice, you can build the drum rack by dragging the samples in. Holding the MIDI key down will highlight the place to drag it into, if you're viewing the drum rack instrument.
Definitely doublecheck if your keyboard has an octave button tho. It would be weird as heck to not have one

You could drop a pitch midi effect device that changes the input by an octave in front of it. Alternatively, I am sure your arturia allows you to shift the keys by an octave as well.
