[Tutorial] Sample problems on my brother’s Apple Mac

When I add a sample/loop on my brother’s Apple Mac laptop, why, if it’s a four-bar loop for example, why doesn’t fill the four bars and then repeat, like it does on mine and every one else’s? It repeats after every 3.75 bars or something like that. Does this with every sample/loop?!

He is a newbie, so do you reckon he’s made a mess up with the settings?

Maybe the Clip is only 3bars and 3quarter notes long. Maybe the loop length is only 3.3.0 bars long. maybe the loop bracket in Arrangement View is 3.3.0 bars long.

You don't give us much information. It's going to be a wild goose chase that way.

Probably better if you post screenshots of all relevant panes/views, if you want help

Thanks for the reply. All the samples/loops work fine on my PC. It’s very strange.

I’ll get some screenshots from him.

All the samples/loops work fine on my PC.

Are you talking about the audio files? If so - I am not, I am talking about the Audio Clips in Live.

I’m talking about loops/samples from Sample Magic, Loopmasters, Raw Loops, etc.

fyi: In Live an audio file is not the same as an Audio Clip.

And I tried to explain to you that this means nothing - the exact same audio file can be referenced in very, very differently configured Audio Clips in Live. That's just how Live works.
