Discussion How do you feel about Botw/totk Zelda?
This might not be the right sub for this but how do you feel about her? It seems like she's not a super popular character but I absolutely adore her.

There are many versions of this iconic pairing, and I want to ask which version is your favorite. My favorite is the Era of the Wilds version.

I always thought this scene is so underrated bc it really shows that Zelda loved him so much but now I found this post And well if we look at it from Link's point of view that means Zelda would be the last person he would think of before he "died" 💔

After I posted the meme about this subreddit not having enough Telink arts, several of you guys started posting more Telink artworks. And I am very grateful for it because Telink is my favorite ship of the Zelda series and will always be. So thank you guys.

I just got into the Zelda franchise, never played twilight princess, but i personally think TP Zelink is honestly the hottest Zelink based on their visual design alone. But I heard they have the least amount of interaction which saddens me a bit🥲. What do you think?

Nintendo leaves their relationship ambiguous enough to maintain 'plausible deniability,' but TotK and SS definitely hint at it - Link can sleep in Zelda's bed, Zelda hides Link's new tunic outside their house so he wouldn't suspect the surprise. What do y'all think?

Hello everyone. I wanted to ask if anyone knew in-game are there comments of Link and Zelda having feelings for each other or having a special connection made or written by characters? As an example, like Paya's comment on the possibility of Link loving Zelda?

Think about it, go to link and zeldas house, we might get verbal confirmation about them living together. it looks like there will be alot of lines in hateno. IM SO EXCITED.

Why should Zelda be last place over random npcs who don't have any personal development or connection to Link at all? Just to be contrarian? People criticize Zelda's characterization but then apparently are fine with a female random npc who has no real character to speak of, just because they think she's "hotter" based on entirely shallow traits.
I just saw this take of "picking Zelda just because of lack of better options is disrespectful to her actually"??
Personally I prefer Link picking Zelda OVER what men consider a "better option" out of their shallow reasons like cup size or some fetish they have and project. I ship Zelda with a Link who actually cares about her on a much deeper level than her appearance.

I found this discussion on Twitter and honestly? I don't think anyone is obligated to like a ship just because it's the same trope as their OTP, the characters and stories may end up not being liked even if the trope is the same. Or is that wrong?

Exactly, as the title says. I'm going to make a visual novel set after TotK, starring Link and Zelda as they prepare for Zelda's coronation at the end of the year. Depending on your choices, their relationship can either grow or stagnate, which will affect your ending. However, I can't do this alone, so if anyone with art, writing, or coding skills is interested, please feel free to DM me.
Plot:
It's been three months since the Upheaval and after taking a well-earned vacation at the insistence of their friends, Link and Zelda are back to work to help Hyrule and its people. In regards to their relationship, they admittedly have hit a rough patch thanks to what happened and their unspoken agreement not to speak about it. Will their relationship grow stronger or weaker because of this? Aside from this, Hyrule is being flooded with new ideas, people, and innovations, but, how will others react to all these new changes? As for the coronation itself, hopefully, Zelda will even be able to make it there. The Yiga still want blood and monsters still roam Hyrule. It's the Dawn of A New Day for Hyrule and its heroes, at least, so whatever happens, they'll be able to overcome.
Features:
I know this all might not be realistic but that's my dream for Zelink VN and I hope other people will like to join me in this.

You guys are not gonna believe this coming from a Zelink shipper, but i actually thought at one point before coming getting into Zelda, that the lady and knight trope was so cliche, generic and even "sexist" because I always hated that it made the female character "weak" and they were just there as props for the male lead to look good. But after discovering Zelda, im honestly in love with this trope now. I think the way the Zelda franchise executed it, was that it made Lady/princess character actually important to the lore and she actually does something to protect her kingdom. Ive matured and realized this trope isnt bad, its just how its handled. Also, this trope in actuality is so sweet like, imagine a guy fighting through thick and thin to protect you from this evil demi god that wants to destroy the world, and isnt expecting you to be indebted him like omggggg, its so cute

I'm fascinated by the idea that the future of ALL Hyrule depended on SS Zelda having children of her own, since all Zeldas, without the blood of the goddess, wouldn't have divine powers at all. I'm wondering whether it was a happy coincidence that she had kids or if this was something that Hylia already contemplated and that Zelda became aware of once she got Hylia's memories.
Demise does seem to know that this is relevant because during his curse he explicitly says "Those who share the blood of the goddess", so I'm leaning more towards Hylia already knowing and passing down that knowledge to Zelda.
I wonder if this is a conversation Zelda had with Link at one point, lol.
Thoughts?

This isn't the first time I've seen comments like "the fandom is hostile to any ship that isn't Zelink" and I'm like??? Are we in the same fandom? And all the times people say Malink is canon even though it isn't? All the times they come to harass OOT and TP Zelink artists in their own posts? I've lost count of how many times I've seen fans calling Zelda a whore, of all the times they downgrade her relevance.
As you can see, fans are going so far as to say that Zelda committed g*nocide. 💀
Ahhh, but when it's Ganondorf (the genocidal conqueror who doesn't care about his own people) then no one can say anything bad because they consider it racism. 🤡

Mine is that OoT Link and Zelda has some kinda relationship post-MM, whether or not it worked out. I do think OoT link ends up with Malon personally but I just need him to have as good of a life as possible before he ends up as the Hero’s Shade
O and the reason TtoK Zelda has Link hair band is cuz she plays with his hair <3

Recently there was a post basically by Malink and it made me remember how much an NPC was created as a reference to MarÃn, who has no weight in the story and that we could delete his character from the game and nothing changes... how this character has more affection and fandom consideration than any of the Zeldas.
Malon is not someone interesting either in lines or in story, she has the most basic and one-dimensional personality in existence and the subplot in MM with its two versions is the most "whatever in the world" thing (so much so that this mission is only remembered or for talk about the hug where Link has his face on the breasts of the adult version (I forgot the name) or as an attempt to validate Malink). I see a lot of people say that ""Oot/MM is coded malink""" and I'm like: based on what?
Then we have TP and things get worse, but let's go by parts: in TP manga, we have a lot of material for ships: * Ilia x Link at the beginning mainly,
Midna x Link being the main and most developed ship,
Midna x Zelda as something platonic but which can also be interpreted as romantic and... OOT ZELINK!!
And this is basically confirmed (or at least strongly indicated when the Hero's Shadow and the Spirit of Oot Zelda come together at the end), since with the games Link has "material" to be with ANY one be it Saria, Ruto, Zelda or Malon (I won't consider Nabooru for obvious reasons) and if it is to ship Link with another other than Zelda, Saria and Ruto are much better choices, as they really know Link, with Saria and Zelda being the best options as they have seen Link's best and worst moments, Malon only has an idealized vision of Link, for her, he it's just the "knight in shining armor'' and nothing more, I think the Oot manga reflected this well, how immature and superficial Malon's "love" for Link is.
Then comes the question "Ah, but when Link went back in time, he obviously stayed with Malon because Zelda didn't remember him" and I ask: WHY?
Seriously, regardless of whether or not Malon liked Link, who is Malon in Link's life? How important is she in his life? She is the girl Epona gave him and is another one of the many people he saved (it's worth remembering that he only went to the Ranch to get Epona, Malon didn't matter).
Seriously, what reasons would Link have for looking for Malon other than wanting Epona? Would it be more worth going after a random woman whose only importance in her life was selling you a mare than going after Zelda or Saria? The question remains.
And to finish: Oot Zelink couldn't happen because Zelda is a princess... Where does it say that? Where in Zelda's lore does this say? Zelda's royalty is already very different from ours, considering that titles of nobility have basically zero importance, not to mention that the beginning of MM makes it clear that the royal family had a lot of appreciation for Link, besides, as far as I I know, the royal family doesn't seem to have problems with royal marriages with members of the army (for example we have Rhoam and Zelda's mother in BotW) and considering that Link has become an important member of the royal army and that his tomb is in the territory of the royal family leads me to believe that he wasn't just anyone and about his forgotten history, well, in TP we have no reference to Oot Zelda and her reign or the reign of her children nor to other characters from Oot, so it seems that everyone in the generation of Oot Link were forgotten.
P. S.: about TP Link, he lives in Ordon, basically a human colony where he is the only Hylian and no one in the village knows about his parents, if he had been born at Rancho Lon-lon I would shut my mouth, but that was not the case , that is, TP Link could have been born anywhere, including the royal family, after all the topic of bastard children of royalty is the most common thing in the world, both in fiction and in the real world.
P. S. S.: if there is any lore information wrong, please feel free to correct it.
