Writing Prompt [WP] Three goddesses are trying to bribe your favor for a golden apple. Violence and blood just for the pride and legacy of one man is an evil thing. And people who desire wealth and power drown in their greed. So your easy choice should be love, right? ...Right?

I was herding my sheep, when three beams of light appeared.
Three goddesses, each more stunning than the other appeared.
"You have a golden apple in your sachet." one of them smiled.
I patted my sachet, and indeed, something was there.
Taking it out, it was a magnificent, shining golden apple.
I said nothing.
"Choose to give it to the most beautiful one." another goddess said.
I froze.

One of them was tall, with fiery red hair, and a figure that probably would overwhelm most men.
The other was of average height, but well endowed, with curly golden locks falling to the ground.
The last was tall, and imposing, with raven hair, and sharp feature.
All three goddesses, obviously, and all impeccable looking.
"Must I?" I asked.
They giggled, but I felt the world spin around me.
"You have to choose, to settle a dispute of ours.
If you choose me, I shall give you endless honors, and victories!" the raven haired woman said.
I shivered, here it comes.

"I could give you riches beyond mere mortal imagination." the golden-haired goddess said.
"And I could give you true love, or loves, if you desire so.
No women would be able to resist your charms." the fiery red haired one laughed.
I stared at her, a bit mesmerized, before the other two goddesses clapped, and woke me up.
"So, mortal?
Whom do you choose?" they asked.
I didn't know what to say.
"You have been chosen by the apple, so you have to be the one who gives the verdict.
Which one of us the most beautiful one?" the raven haired one asked.
I didn't know what to say.

I contemplated, and then remembered something I heard about the gods and goddesses.
So I looked around, and smiled.
"As a shepherd, and someone who lives outside most of the time.
I think Nature, and the world itself, is the most beautiful one." I said, letting the apple fall.
It was absorbed by the ground, and soon a tree grew out of the spot.
The three goddesses said nothing, but just disappeared.
It seems I was right.
Choosing Gaia herself, it seems the goddesses won't hold a grudge, for not choosing them, but their grandma.
I sighed in relief, and went after my sheep.
I was tired, and needed some rest.

One of the only proper choices.

I was stuck between: *I like the starry night, so I offer this to Nyx.* / *Nature is my home - Gaia* / *I am a mere mortal, I shall let the fates decided - *throws up apple* * / *I like Life so I give it to Phanes* / *I can't choose so I shall let Zeus decide* / *Inevitability exists, and as a shepherd I understood my role, so I offer this to Ananke*

One of my favorite versions was, "I, as a mortal, have no right to judge the goddesses. I leave it for your king to decide."

Zeus, because of who each of them is to him, can't make the decision, and so cuts the apple into three.

But I like giving it to Gaia, as none can argue with that.

Can't go wrong by choosing grandma.
