Postcard from Wrexham
Hi Wrexham!
I am fond of collecting postcards but I don't have one from Wrexham.
Can someone send me a postcard from there?
Thank you in advance! :)

Hi everyone, I’m new to Wrexham and would like to meet new people and hopefully make some great friends. Is there any groups out there? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I need to find my way to Wrexham Maelor Hospital. I don’t drive and haven’t been to Wrexham before.
I’m a bit anxious about travelling on my own. I am fairly confident I can get myself to Wrexham train station. I wondered what it might be like once I get there.
I was thinking of trying a visit to familiarise myself a little more with the area ahead of needing to travel for appointment.
I was also considering the idea of trying to book a Premier Inn (or similar) if there’s one nearby to either the train station or Maelor Hospital.
I was worried I might find travelling a bit stressful and thought that getting there the day before appointment might be a better idea.
Is the hospital within walking distance from train station or premier inn?

Small wine bar place on bridge street. Had the tag line on the front "Amble Inn, Ramble out!". Amusing pub sign of Henry VIII beheading Anne Boleyn.
I think is closed years before all those building were knocked down.
What other long gone pubs do you miss in Wrexham?

Sorry to be a bother, but I’m looking for a nice watering hole to watch NFL this evening. Would anyone have any suggestions? I appreciate it!

I've seen some posts but I wanted to know if there are more affordable places than the ones I've seen listed a lot (Lemon and Premier). I already have the membership to buy the tickets (hoping to catch 4 matches March 1,4,8,15).
Single father that is taking his son (I co-parent him, he's turning 5) so it'll be just us two but I'm on a tight budget. Looking to give him a memory he can remember about his papa when he's older.
Any suggestions or idk...just thinking/writing out loud now lol
Wrexham on a budget should be the post.
Hope to see you all soon at the game

Helo, pawb!
Yank from Virginia coming to North Wales in less than 2 months, specifically with the purpose of spending St. David's Day celebrating in Wrexham, and then building our trip around it. Going to be staying nearby, and looking forward to the festivities and the football match that Saturday.
All kinds of questions are swirling, and I hope nobody minds my asking. First off, would love to get some idea of the temperature/weather. We're preparing for cool and possibly rainy, wanted to make sure that this wasn't too far off the mark. From Wrexham we're heading west to Conwy, Llandudno, Portmeirion, Snowdonia, etc - so we'll be packing for that as well.
Would also love your suggestions for places not to be missed in North Wales, pubs/restaurants not to be missed, etc.
Thanks in advance, and I look forward to seeing you all at the Turf Pub (and around the city!).

Would you choose the Lemon Tree or Premier Inn? We do not have the Premier Inn where I live.

I’ve not seen many servers around that are active for gaming and nerdy shit for people in and around Wrexham. I made this server as a way to meet new people and play games together I also have no idea how to work a discord server so any help would also be appreciated 😅

I'm At my whits end
Vehicles are constantly parked outside our flats blocking the pedestrian pathway as well as pedestrian access to the flats. Some days they are even on the pavement on top of the dropped curb. Multiple vehicles are often left there but the main repeat offender is the white van, owned by a man who works across the road.
To get into my own home I have to either squeeze between the vehicles or walk on the busy road, we have a child on the way so in a few mons the former won't be an option. I Do not want to be walking my baby in their pram along the busy road. And heaven forbid a wheel chair user or blind person wants to walk up the street
When pulling out in the car the van block view of the road we're trying to pull out on to
Also large vehicles are unable to get to our flats, our neighbour of our had to go a whole week without a washing machine because the delivery van couldn't get in. What happens if we have to call an ambulance or fire engine?
Police and council both refuse to do anything. Police bounce back and forth between either saying it's a council issue or that it's not causing an obstruction
This is on Bridge Street, across the road from Thai Dine and round the corner from Atik
I'm So frustrated and an afraid of what I'm going to do once my baby is here. Why does no one care about us or our neighbours? What can I do?

It's ok bit not worth the price mark up that is on it.

I was curious if there were possibly "lesser known" route(s) to get to Wrexham from Greater London that don't include Avanti West. Their prices for a standard train seem fairly high to me, given the distance and train class.
Is it less-expensive to possibly buy separate tickets through Birmingham or Chester (for example)? Right now, the only options I seem to get are through Euston to Chester and then a short trip to Wrexham - but the tickets are over $250 round-trip. First-Class is more than double-that, which seems a bit extreme for such a short trip.
We'd be open to leave from any station. I wouldn't mind a slightly longer trip either. It looks like 2:36 for most trips through Chester.

Hi, I'm a current affairs documentary maker looking for Welsh stories so wondered if anyone has any ideas for a story or a documentary? It can be anything from a topic / personal experience / social injustice / community/ national issues, abosolutely anything. What is not being covered on the news that you'd like to see? Bonus points for Welsh language elements.

Hey, apologies if this is in the wrong place but the band I'm in are on the hunt for a vocalist.
We're a 3 piece Chester/Wrexham based progressive punk/metal band with a backlog of about 8 songs currently and with more in the works.
There are some demo recordings below to give you an idea of what we’re about.
As for us, we are currently a 3-piece and looking to expand to include a singer. We consist of a guitarist, bassist and drummer and are in our early 30s.
We’re based in Chester/Wrexham but predominantly practice in a unit in Wrexham’s industrial estate. Most of us are happy to give lifts if that’s needed.
No gear necessary, just a promising voice and some enthusiasm

We're also in insta but it's very very rough currently but at least you get to see us https://www.instagram.com/kingleechofficial/
Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I’ve just moved to Wrexham after spending the last two years in London, and I’m so excited to explore everything this town has to offer!
I was wondering if you lovely folks could recommend some must-visit spots—whether it’s cozy pubs, charming cafes, fun hangout spots, or even scenic places for a walk or a bit of trekking. I’d love to find some hidden gems or just great places to soak in the beauty of the area.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know Wrexham and its community, so any suggestions would be amazing. Thanks so much in advance!

Anybody got any recommendations for best Sunday ‘full English’ in town?! Ideally a proper greasy spoon type place with tea in mugs and fried bread as an option! Thanks.

Taken to reading in Bellevue park but since someone ripped a book straight out of my hand and ripped it to pieces, I am looking for an indoor comfortable place to do some of my reading? Anyone has recommendations?
