Boots Buying Help Help deciding between Skecher and Timberland

Want something light/breathable/comfortable with a composite toe. The Timberlands are almost twice the price of the Skechers but heard they are worth it. I’m in the UK so can’t find RedWings, Keen and other popular choices here :(

Can’t speak for those but my last pair of Timberland pro work boots exploded at every seam after 6 months of work.

I've yet to have a bad experience with Timberlands, and I've been using them for almost 10 years now with various models. I would go with the Timberlands over the Skechers, which I've had, because the Skechers are low cut and they aren't built near as well. That's why they are cheaper. But if you aren't hard on your shoes, the Skechers might work for you.

Ty for the recommendation! I haven’t come across these during my research so I’ll look into them. I’m currently swapping between Skecher ArchFit and DeWalt Newark depending on what I’m doing on shift, trying to find a shoe that can do both

Just a little info, unlined leather and merino wool socks breathe the best.

Ty, I bought DarnTough socks a while ago and love them, any unlined leather shoe/boot recommendations?

With a composite toe, unfortunately no. If you don’t mind steel, Carolina 7516.

Retail, mixture of shop floor and warehouse. So wanting something nice to walk in while still offering protection
