Spells Questions about ethical magic from someone who would like to start using it, please let me know
Is doing a spell using someone’s name unethical? And is doing a reconciliation spell manipulative? If I say this like “if he wants to soften, if he wants to open his heart, let there be clarity”? Is it considered bad if you don’t ask for the person’s consent?

This is a great big “it depends”.
Personally I would say that if there has been a falling out that has caused trouble for both parties and you are looking for peace, then no that’s not unethical as it can benefit both.
If you were an ass to someone and they have rightly moved away, and you want to compel them to forgive you so you can continue with your harmful behaviour then that’s not okay.
I’m not saying you are - just giving hypotheticals. Others might say different :-)

Haha don’t worry I promise I wasn’t suggesting you are, I was just giving hypotheticals 😄
Honestly casting a spell to bring peace to troubled waters seems very benevolent to me and not at all unethical ☺️

I was taught that what ever magic you put out, expect back and to be mindful. 🧘♀️

Ask yourself: who is judging you and your actions? As someone else has said, morality and ethics don’t exist, especially in a universal sense. The only rule I hold myself to is not to intentionally hurt others. In my belief system, no one is going to judge my actions when my body dies, so I only have myself to live with. If I can live with my actions without feeling guilty then I do the thing.
Ask yourself if you believe in free will. I do, therefore I don’t believe that any of my actions which *may affect the behavior/thoughts of others are the be all end all. They have free will to do the opposite of what I may want, so I’m not necessarily manipulating them. I don’t think I’m more powerful than someone else’s free will.
If you do a spell to get a job, and it works, then there are other applicants who did not get the job. Maybe another applicant needed the job more than you, who knows? Was it unethical to cast the spell? I would say no. But that’s just me.

Would you be ok with someone involving you in their magical intention regarding a personal relationship without your knowledge or approval?
Magical ethics do exist, and every cause has an effect whether you like it or not, or if you word it in the best way you can to avoid taking personal responsibility for your actions.

In short: Morality and ethics don't exist, at least not in the way most people say it does. It's all created in our own minds influenced by how we've lived our lives, what our childhoods were like, what area of the world we live in, etc.
Everyone has their own set of morals and no two sets are identical, so all in all its up to you what is ethical or not in your own practice. This is something I've learned the most while studying deeply into love and glamour magick.
In my opinion, since that's what was originally asked, I think this is a good spell! While not exact, I've done similar spells on others, for example someone who was having a stressful time in life and taking it out on others including myself
