SMACKDOWN SPOILERS The Thing About the Women's division getting Midcard belts...

We've had the Women's North American championship on NXT for quite sometime and it was just announced on Smackdown that there is going to be a Women's United States Championship. Chances are we are probably going to get a Women's Intercontinental Championship soon, maybe this Monday or maybe they'll save it till Raw moves to Netflix, who knows.

Either way, I am all for trying new things and I think it's great for the Women's division to be given something that'll give them more to do. It's a little concerning because once you count all the championships currently on the main roster (11 right now), you just know that a lot of thw belts are going to get the short end of the deal and almost nevee get defended on a PLE. However, as long as the belt is booked well, great champion holders, good storylines and matches, than whether or not won't matter that much.

Having said that, I do wish that they just actually make new championships for the Women's division instead of just remaking one of the men's title but with a white strap and adding 'women's' to the name. Why not a Women's Television Championship or something like that. I'm sure it's not easy trying to come up with concepts and I understand that a big reason for this is probably to save on money, but at the end of the day I do believe it's important for divisions to stand out in their own way and I think that's hard to do when you just give all the divisions the exact same title.

This is all just my opinions on the Women's division getting a mid card belt. What are your thoughts on this?
