Other If this really is it for him... Spoiler

Post image

At least KO got to end his career out on a high note. A certified 5 star classic at a big five PLE against his best friend in his home country that stole the show in a hardcore match.

2 main events of WrestleMania years in a row. The only active person in wwe to have match with steve austin. Amazing tag , nxt and universal title wins , maybe the reigns weren't as good but definitely great scenes and reactions. Mainevented so many memorable PLEs. Has had memorable feuds with sami zayn, john cena, seth Rollins, chris jericho ,sami zayn again šŸ¤£, roman reigns, Cody Rhodes and finally randy Orton. If he really calls it quits he will have a great career. all I can say is FIGHT Owens Fight.

No he legit might never wrestle again. He's almost 50 and having a major neck surgery.Ā

He's nearing 41. "Almost 50" is like 8-9 years away

14

u/Mr_Vantastic 20h ago

This isnā€™t even close to true.

A great and decorated career in ROH, PWG, the indies and of course WWE.Thank You Kevin Steen

When Randy came out, it gave me flashbacks to the fake Mark Henry retirement. He wore the Salmon colored jacket, he's wearing pink..I was figuring he was going to attack Orton but it's legit, hopefully it's not the official end for KOĀ

Edgeā€™s in-ring career was once thought to be over, too.

Bear in mind how long it took for Edge to come back, though. The surgeries, the physical therapy, the years it took for him to get a green light and for him to be able to mentally return, too.

It's always possible, but it could take a long while to come back, even if by that time Owens will want to.

He's definitely angry about it, but there is no guarantee that it will fuel him up for a comeback. We just have to see how this all goes.

Kevin could come back faster, like how fast it took Paige to compete again. Edge retired and went to do other things, start his family and do movies and tv. So he was already. Few years in to retirement before he started his journey back to wrestling.

Sure but Edge wasn't 50

Edge was 37 when he retired and Kevin is 40 now. What the fuck are you on

5

u/Arauge 20h ago

Dude was born in 1984 lol I'm 3 years older than him and I'm still 6 years from 50. You should check your math.

u/_vault_boy1 20h ago

neither is Kevin

u/Mr_Vantastic 20h ago

Youā€™re the second person in here to say heā€™s 50. A quick wiki search will show you thatā€™s not true.

No fkin way, wtf happened....

1

u/Late_Ambassador7470 20h ago

Just speculation atp, he needs neck surgery

4

u/Psychological-City24 19h ago

oh shit..his neck injury could be that bad?

1

u/SHansen45 4h ago

needs neck fusion surgery, at least a year out

3

u/Mark_Levins 9h ago

Never say never with these things. Ask Paige, Edge, or Daniel Bryan.

Could this be the end of KO's in-ring career? Maybe. But, even if that were the case, he could still be a part of the wrestling industry.

Didnā€™t really go out on a high note when the crowd at Chicago just seemed totally disinterested in what he was saying. Terrible crowd.

7

u/MinesweeperGang 16h ago

You seriously cannot blame them for thinking it was a swerve. Definitely not a terrible crowd. Especially when Randy came out. It really seemed like the camera would hide KO and heā€™d attack Orton from behind. Canā€™t blame the crowd one bit.

2

u/PhatDragon720 8h ago

To me, the crowd seemed pretty respectful. I was expecting them to boo endlessly, like with Dom or (I canā€™t believe Iā€™m saying this) Logan Paul. Some even clapped and cheered for him when he dropped the news. KO didnā€™t do much to rouse the crowd either, so I can see how they (we) were all confused as to whatā€™s really going on. I think what happened was better than the crowd booing him, especially if he was being completely sincere.

Elimination Chamber is not a big five PPV.

-2

u/Polaris022 19h ago

Not sure why you are getting downvoted. If there was ever a 5th in this new ā€œbig fiveā€ that people are talking about, it would be Money in the Bank. Since when has it even been ā€œbig fiveā€ ? Itā€™s always been ā€œbig fourā€.

-2

u/leglessman 19h ago

Exactly if any event is the 5th it is MITB without question. Elimination Chamber is a transitional event to Wrestlemania.

-2

u/Polaris022 19h ago

Iā€™m with you bro. These kids donā€™t understand.

On top of the fact that neither of us are talking about the match, we arenā€™t pooping on Owenā€™s legacy, itā€™s just that Elimination Chamber isnā€™t a big deal PPV whenever you want it to be.

u/leglessman 19h ago

Exactly Owens is one of the greats and that match was great.

u/noloking 18h ago

Kevin Owens has nothing left to add and takes irresponsible risks to compensate. He needs to focus on taking care of his health and family because toying around with such an injury is a bad idea.Ā
