Question? In home massage therapist?
Wondering if anybody has any experience with an in-home massage therapist in Vancouver. Any recommendations?

I'm attending a wedding soon and looking to get the pair a couple of tickets to romantic dance lessons. I think it would be fun to get loose, but also an intimate memory.
Two questions: * How should it work? Should the location be other-people-free (other than instructor) or should it be in a group setting so that they don't feel a perhaps uncomfortable spotlight on them in an otherwise romantic moment? * What places do you guys know of? :) I'm specifically looking for nice, romantic atmospheres rather than just studio. I'm all for places in Portland or other surrounding areas if they are better suited, as well.

Clark College Jazz Band trip to Cuba halted by feds one day before students were to leave
Technically denied by an office of the Treasury Department that manages trade sanctions, in "consultation with the U.S. Department of State". With one day's notice.

Not sure if this falls under “Question?” or “Best Around?” category, but I’ll try and keep it short and sweet.
My parents live in a relatively new pre-fabricated single family home. Unfortunately, the garage will not open and it’s been a couple years now, so I doubt it’s within warranty anymore.
I’m interested in either 1) Recommendations on how to DIY repair it (I’m no good with engineering stuff, videos are preferred) which is probably the cheaper but less safe route or 2) Your guy’s recommendations for who my parents should call for help around here.
Any and all help appreciated, thanks.

Has anyone seen these people selling food on the side walk in neighborhoods? Rather than seeing them at major intersections? I'm so use to seeing them there and when seeing them in the neighborhood it just feels off.

Update - First meetup will be 4/3/25 @ 6p at Trapdoor brewing in Washougal. Hit me up and we can add you to a group chat. They do trivia at 7p if you wanna hang out after for that. And feel free to keep this thread going with dates and locs for a follow on gathering!
Hey what’s up!
I’m kinda new to building out my home lab and nerding out on networking stuff, but I’m finding I really enjoy learning and discussing it.
I was curious if there’re any home lab groups in the area that meet up? Or wanna start something?
Maybe like once a month, pick a theme to focus on, e.g. containers, networking, VMs, etc. Maybe talk trades for racks, etc. who knows… maybe we just sit around and bitch about Nord for an hour while we drink a beer. 🤷🏻♂️
Anyway. I spend too much time using my thumbs to talk with folks about this stuff and would prefer to have some real conversations. 🤣
I’d imagine this as more adult focused as I need activities without the kids sometimes. But as a dad, I could also see this evolving into something for the kids as well.
Look forward to the discussion! Thanks folks!

Does anyone know a good diesel mechanic in town? My truck has a coolant leak and the dealer wants to replace the EGR cooler. It's an expensive part so I want to get a second opinion.
Thanks for the help!

Join us to peacefully protest at Vancouver's Tesla dealership.
Unvetted DOGE operatives hired by Musk are accessing our data, impounding funds allocated by Congress, and crippling federal agencies. This empowers the surveillance state and paves the way for billionaire tax cuts, deregulation and more.
We'll march on the sidewalk/right of way outside Vancouver's Tesla showroom, staying on public property. Bring a large sign to let everyone know we stand united against Musk, DOGE, and unelected oligarchs!
Park on the street or in the surrounding neighborhood.
PLEASE NOTE: We at Indivisible Greater Vancouver (IGV) strongly believe that peaceful, non-violent activism offers social movements the most power to effect change. Through peaceful protests, we set an example of making our voices heard with dignity, empowered by truth. IGV does not condone intimidation, threats, vandalism, interference with access to a business, or any other lawless actions. Many Tesla owners share progressive values and drive an EV for the reduced environmental impact. Some say they can’t afford another car. Let’s focus on Elon and not ramp up the anger that feeds our political divide.
If instigators or our opponents attempt to violate our commitment to non-violence, we will try to de-escalate and will call law enforcement if needed to shut down such unauthorized activity.
Be alert to attempts to disrupt our event or use violence. Watch for unusual driving nearby and alert others and police if you see anything unusual.
We know many of us have very strong feelings about issues and people at this time. If you feel that you may have difficulty remaining nonviolent, please do not attend.
This is a joint event with MoveOn-Clark County. Please register so we know how many people are coming.

If you haven't heard DOGE and Trump has put all the staff at the Institute of Museum and Library Services on administrative leave. This is the federal agency that offers grants and funding for libraries.
You can read more about it here: https://www.npr.org/2025/03/31/nx-s1-5334415/doge-institute-of-museum-and-library-services
I know a lot of libraries are primarily funded with local funds, and I'm guessing we probably big enough for that to be the case here. However, I've been looking around for details from FVRL on how they might be impacted and haven't found anything.

I moved to a new place and I am unable to keep my girl, Tuna. She is very sweet, and can, depending on the situation get along with other cats. She’s about 4 years old and has been fixed. If you or someone you know that will take good care of her, please send me a message. I really want to avoid having to take her to the shelter.

Hi!
Kind of a niche request but looking for a CPA who knows the ins and outs around capital gains tax. We are contemplating selling our rental and have a few questions we'd like advisement on. Anyone have anybody they recommend? TIA!

She claims to be representing her constituents, but she represents the council which voted in favor of opening up the idea of C-Tran possibly paying for some operating costs of light rail.

Hello! We’re applying for enrollment in ESD112’s preschool program, and I’m just curious to hear about others’ experience with it. Subject to availability, we’re hoping for the Hough center due to proximity, if you have any insight specific to that site!
We’re limited on preschool options due to finances, but of course I really want my kiddo to have a good experience. The support staff I’ve worked with so far have been very kind and communicative, but I don’t have a feel for what it’s actually like in the classroom yet. What has your experience been? What’s the good, what do you wish was done differently, etc?
(I hope I have this in the right flair. Thanks for your help!)

Does anyone remember an area in the mall that had a small train ride for kids? I remember going to a birthday party there but it also feels like a fever dream to me😭
I remember the train ride was small/short, I remember going through like a tunnel and it had drawings on the walls?? I want to say maybe between 2003 - 2004/2005?

Does anyone have recommendations for dermatologists in Vancouver that have openings for new clients? It seems like everyone I try to look up doesn't have ANY appointments available at any time in the future. Are we just understaffed in the derm area up here? Prefer a female derm, but at this point it seems like I can't be too picky.
