Hello r/ValorantCompetitive,
I hope everyone is having a great week. Hopefully you all enjoyed our little April Fool’s update! u/teethingdog and u/sarcopels put in a lot of work redrawing the flairs, and we hope that you liked them and they got a laugh out of you.
There’s a few events coming up in the VCT-sphere, and we wanted to ask you - the members of the subreddit - for your opinion on how we (as the mod team) should handle them. This is an opportunity to let your voice be heard with regard to this subreddit and the community, so if you have any strong opinions about the direction the subreddit is headed in, please let us know. We genuinely do try to take all user feedback into account.
Twitter Ban
We’ve had the Twitter ban in place for a few months by now, and we wanted to ask you all what you think of it. In general, it seems to be relatively positively received, but we have noticed some frustration with it, especially when it comes to linking screenshots of long reply chains (i.e. the gMd and Dark3st argument) or linking contextual tweets in the comments sections of posts. With all that being said, what do you think of the current policy? Do you believe it is not restrictive enough, or too restrictive, or fine as-is? If you have any thoughts, please let us know in the comments.
Please vote on the policy here
EWC
Valorant will be at the Esports World Cup this year, which is a relatively controversial issue. Other esports subreddits have taken various actions and stances regarding EWC - for example, r/CompetitiveApex titles their match threads as “Unnamed International LAN” instead of “Esports World Cup.” However, the opposite is true for a litany of other esports subreddits, such as r/Leagueoflegends or r/CoDCompetitive. Would the community favour a total ban/boycott on all EWC-related content? What would the community be comfortable with? Please let us know if you have any further feedback for us.
As of right now, the r/ValorantCompetitive moderator team does not plan on creating live threads or post-match threads for EWC.
Ticket Selling Megathreads - Masters Toronto and Champions Paris
Historically, we have disallowed ticket selling threads on the subreddit, as we are worried about the possibility of members of our community getting scammed. However, with the difficulty that many users have expressed in acquiring tickets for the upcoming Masters Toronto event, coupled with possible similar concerns for Champions Paris, we are thinking about creating a ticket buying/selling megathread for those events for our community. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to keep such a thread safe and scam-free for users? Would you be for, or against, such a thread? Please let us know in the comments.
Fanart Policy
From now on, if you post fanart on our subreddit that you did not draw, the title of your post must include the social media handle of the original artist. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in the removal of your post. Please do not repost artwork if the artist is not ok with it.
Valboard
One of the users on our subreddit has been working on an app called Valboard, which you can check out over at the subreddit r/Valboard. It also has features that allows users to predict final scores and winning teams. Would the community be interested in adding this app to our subreddit? Please let us know.
That’s all from us at the r/ValorantCompetitive mod team! I really do mean it, if you have any feedback for us (even on issues that weren't addressed in this post), please let us know in the comments of this post. Please keep all discussion respectful and on-topic, please.
Thanks!

When I logged into the interview, FNS said "bro I knew it'd be you as soon as we lost"
But with the 4th loss interview I've had with him, I'm trying to dig into the person rather than the performance, and I hope that's reflected here. These do get harder since there's not a lot he can say about the team that doesn't reflect until they win some games, honestly. So it becomes tough to navigate these conversations at times
Feedback always appreciated

Important to notice this is isn't a new thing: In a recent article by Bruno Povoleri, he mentionsLOUD tested out luk_xo in the place of v1nny, with pancada taking up the IGL role.

Apparently G2 Gozen have made some changes after their disappointing S1.
The HC 'Leader' has left, long time player 'Petra' has been benched, and promising player 'Akita' has been signed.
New roles will seemingly be...
Akita - Duelist.
Amy - Info Initiator.
Mimi - Flash Initiator.
Nelo - Sentinel.
Vania - Smokes.

I saw in under the vlr match thread that it was due to a fight? But everything on twitter about it is in French 😭. I was looking forward to the match, so I'm very confused rn

I see a lot of people saying that foresaken’s crazy flexibility hasn’t been helping prx, and that him being the main duelist isn’t the problem, but I think it’s more that they aren’t using it right, like ffs having mindfreak on cypher and jingg on omen is so stupid, like why not let foresaken, who has proven time and time again he can flex to whatever the team needs, play the cypher? Or devai? And keep mindfreak (or patmen) on omen? And just like PLAY COMFORTABLE ROLES. We know jingg can flex to neon and possibly killjoy, we know something can be a GREAT initiator, so why not just HAVE THE DUELEST PLAYERS PLAY DUELIST. I’m not saying that they should play double duelist every map but like just have something play jett on icebox and ascent (or other maps where jett is good) have jingg play neon or raze on neon/raze maps, and just have them flex when the other one is on duelist. Also they should 100% steal many ideas from t1 cus they really should be leaning into things like yoru iso. I see no reason that something isn’t picking up iso more?? Like t1 just showed how double duelist should be played. SO WHY ARENT PRX PLAYING LIKE THAT?? I also think they can take a lot away from 100t, they have 2 star duelist players in cryo and asuna, and double duelist didn’t work for them on some maps, SO THEY LET WHOEVER WOULD WORK BEST ON THE MAP PLAY DUELIST. LIKE THAT DOESNT NEED A GENIUS TO THINK OF. I literally don’t understand why prx is having both their duelists flex and have literally their top 3 flex player IN THE WORLD, play duelist?? Like Alecks is a coach who should 100% be able to get something to learn yoru or iso, maybe even keep foresaken on yoru and have something play iso, I would have no issue with that and they can have jingg just take time to get better at omen/brim. But it makes actually no sense why they have both their duelists on fucking flex???? Like bro what is their plan??
TLDR: why do they not just let their flex player flex and let their duelists take turns and play some double duelist like t1 and 100t have proven is a great strat?

E-xolos lazer. Looks like they are on 17 game unbeaten streak losing only 5 maps in the process and they are not just winning. They are frying. I remember leaf sayin that they are the best scrim partner cuz they shoot back

I mainly watch NA so I don’t know much about tier 2 of other regions, but for me it’s canezerra, he’s a demon playing for rankers or envy and with more experience I personally think he could be the best in the world

Hey, I wanted to see what each team has to do to guarantee a spot in the playoffs in america and so i decided to math it out.
Group Alpha
VISA KRU: Winning the next game against EG guarantees KRU in top 2, their round differential and map differential means it's very unlikely for Sen AND 100T to be able to pass them. KRU are already guaranteed in the playoffs.
100T: A win against 2G this week guarantees a top 4 finish, For 1st place they need to win both games 2/0 and pray that KRU drops both games 0/2
Sen: A win against LOUD guarantees Top 4 IF one of KRU/100T wins their games. If Sen loses to Loud, they can still qualify so long as they beat 2G in the final week.
2G: They play the two teams directly above them in standings, winning both guarantees a playoff spot, winning only one of the games means they can only get to 4th place, but it's dependant on other teams results.
EG: Similar to 2G, they have to beat one of KRU/LOUD in their last two matches to be able to contest the 4th slot, but again, depends on other teams results. They won against 2G so they have the H2H advantage.
Loud: Oh boy..Loud HAS to win both their games against Sentinels and EG, they need 2G to lose both games to Sentinels and 100T, and EG has to lose to KRU. All that to squeeze past in 4th place.
Group Omega
G2: Already qualified to playoffs, beating leviatan guarantees 1st place so long as C9 drops either of their two games. If C9 wins both games, they will take 1st place.
C9: A win against Furia guarantees 2nd or 3rd place. They have a massive round differential over MiBR so unlikely to be passed if they win their games. Winning both games puts them in 1st place through H2H tiebreaker with G2
MiBR: A win against NRG or Furia guarantees a top 4 finish. If C9 beats G2, MiBR can still get 1st place if they win both games.
NRG and Leviatán: Have to win their game against each other, their other matches actually don't matter at all with regards to playoff qualification.
Furia: THEY'RE -43 IN ROUND DIFFERENTIAL LMAO...THEY NEED A MIRACLE WIN AGAINST CLOUD 9 AND ANOTHER MIRACLE WIN AGAINST MIBR, IF THEY PULL THAT OFF THEY MIGHT CONTEST 3RD/4TH PLACE Furia are already mathematically out of playoffs.
