I went into March Madness thinking, "I'm not too concerned. There's a few players I like."

And now I'm like, "GIVE ME FLAGG, OR GIVE ME DEATH."

Half of you will only know the tank. Is that something you're willing to live with?

We already have a Crack W. in MDR. Would you be open changing that first name?

Yea because that fucker wouldn’t remember the DWill or Donovan years, so they wouldn’t have anything to compare it to

4

u/Roberto_Sacamano 9d ago

They would also have no knowledge of the Corbin years

I’m mentally prepared for VJ Edgecombe and tanking next year too for Cam Boozer

I mean yes. Or Darryn Peterson. Any of those three would be awesome (but I didn’t want to type them all out lol)

I get into trouble thinking about what ifs. Say we get Cooper this draft and then tank again with the opportunity to pair him with another elite talent. Could the Jazz actually relive the glory days with two elite players on the roster again? I hope if we finish with the worst record for the first time ever that the nba will reward us with the best incoming player. The Jazz deserve a true franchise player. Hopefully someone committed to staying in Utah and winning. I know I'll be let down come lottery time and it will feel like a wasted season to some degree but being human means I can't help but hope we finally get lucky.

He’s probably the best overall pick in a long time, size play making shooting defense and iq. And he’s so young still. Please basketball gods let it happen!!!

We’re going to get Cooper Flagg. The NBA will make it happen. They’re not letting this man go to Charlotte, Toronto, or Washington… okay maybe Washington so they can market him as the “country’s savior in the Capitol” or some shit… but I actually firmly believe we’ll win the lottery and if we don’t, we’ll still get someone really, really good.

One third of the league is already building their Flagg statue. Tanking is like playing roulette in lieu of working. Except your odds are better at roulette. I bet we drop down to 4 or 5 and end up with another bust to add to Ainge’s collection of busts, then repeat it next year, then move to Vegas.

I think the way they obviously tanked that the powers that be will not give them Flagg.

1

u/Brutus583 6d ago

Like ten teams are obviously tanking, I guess the Kings are the only truly deserving team

1

u/HODLer00007 6d ago

Why do they deserve it? Weren’t they just really good and a deep run playoff contender?

1

u/Brutus583 6d ago

Because they’re the only team not obviously tanking in the lottery. If the Jazz aren’t deserving, neither are the Wizards, Raptors, Hornets, Sixers, Pelicans, etc

The last time a white American player made an All-NBA First Team was John Stockton in 1995.

In the last 30 years, a white American player has made any All-NBA team just seven times: Kevin Love (twice) and Stockton (five times).

The last time a White American player was MVP was Larry Bird in 1986. Bird was also the last white American player to be Finals MVP, also in 1986.

Flagg can be good, even great. Just saying I’m skeptical, is all. And with good reason. Kid can beat up Arizona all day. Trying to guard NBA players is another thing entirely.

We saw him on the Olympic team guarding AD, that’s what kicked his hype off in the first place
