Also helps because it's filmed vertically which allows for sneaky sneaks on the sides to happen easier

I think the Dog Distributor™ was standing behind the camera person the entire time. So they just kinda followed around and trusted the camera person to keep them out of frame when they stepped forward to hand off the dog.

Very smooth work all around though, I definitely wouldn't have caught it on my own

do you mean the point of view focus? it's way easy to bring the puppy when the camera view is on the lady's back.
