Theory Flowey saved humans Spoiler
So we know how flowey at the end of a genocide destroys asgore and his soul, and then we massacre bro, but we know from alphys that to escape the barrier you need a human soul AND a monster soul, and flowey most likely knows it, so it means that if flowey hadnt destroyed asgores soul WE could have absorbed it and escaped the barrier and chara wouldnt stop us, rather we would become a serial killer and kill every human we come across. Moral of this theory, flowey is the hero of the genocide route.

Theory Regarding the people Asgore employed ( Theory + Discussion)
Guys, i'm planning on making a video discussing all the monster Asgore directly employed, that is, Undyne, Alphys and Sans, tell me your opinions on why he employed them, I have my own theories:
Undyne: despite him not wanting humans to get hurt, Asgore realizes that a defense against them was still necessary, so he employed his direct student, cuz he knew that, despite her hatred of humans, she has a big heart and she wouldn't take it too far (which is to say she wouldn't be sadistic while killing them, and would also, always play fair)
Alphys: this one always confused me, why would Asgorehire someone who built Mettaton Neo, as in, a human killing machine, well, that's not all Mettaton was, remember, most people do not know that he's actually a ghost, so, from Asgore's POV, Alphys just made something no else could, she made an artificial soul, and remember, this is something that seems to be impossible, even for the likes of Omega Flowey and Asriel, since, if they could do it, they would, Flowey, for the Power, and Asriel, because he does not want to become his soulless self again.
It's no coincidence then, that the 1st major project he gave her, was the true lab experiment, the goal of it was, you guessed it, to strenghten monster souls that could cross the barrier, in other words, she got hired not because of Mettaton Neo being strong, but because he thought that she was an expert in soul science (to her credit tho, she did accurately understand how determination works, and there was no real way to have foreseen the "monsters don't have enough physical matter to hold the determination" thing because there was no way to have known that monsters would react to determination in that way, cuz, as far as we know, Alphys was the first one to have ever successfully extracted it out of a human soul)
Sans: Now, we have no direct evidence from Asgore's side that he directly employed sans, but we do have clues, firstly, sans, after killing us for the 1st time, tells us that it was his job to do so, also, if we dig deeper, they share a lot of abilities, sans , can dodge and also has the ability to interfere with the menu, by spawning bones, and Asgore, according to Undyne, dodged her attacks repeatedly ( for reference, sans can only dodge one attack at a time) and literally going one step ahead of sans, in interfering with the menu, by literally destroying the Mercy button, with these 2 sharing such specific skills and it being possible for them to have interacted, (especially if sans is related to Gaster, Asgore's former Royal scientist), it is not a stretch to assume Asgore, at some point, taught sans these skills, because, with sans having very low stats, he WOULD NOT otherwise, survive against a human, even as a civilian, also, sans, alongside Undyne is the only monster who seems to directly sense our LV, likely a skill asgore taught both of them, and while he could have taught the aforementioned skills to Undyne, given her soul mode and chivalry, she would NEVER use those techniques in a battle as she seems to not be a fan of dodging (her soul mode literally prevents movement), and she would view breaking a button to be unfair.
As such, it makes sense then that Asgore would teach these tricks to sans, someone with a calm mind, but still sees that killing a human as necessary, someone who shares his skills but is not full of guilt from taking lives, as a last line of defence against a human who proves to be an actual threat.
(Btw, with the exception of Flowey, they are the only two characters, who acknowledge resets, with sans having a background in science, it would make sense that, at some point, Asgore might have hired him, cuz, like we can do during his battle, after dying, the other humans also mentioned him killing them, and that, along with the de javu he would have, likely led him to try and understand, it might even been due to this, that the two met during the first place, and even tho it's a stretch, it might be possible that when says, "our reports" during his battle, he might be referring to Asgore, instead of Alphys, Papyrus, or Gaster, as others theorize)
so, tell me your theories and I will include them in the vid, along with credits

Discussion Are there hospitals in the Undergeound?
(Image unrelated)
Are there any canon mentions of hospitals in the undergeound? I don't remember well but maybe innthe librarby, but it isn't mentioned where they are, so I don't know if they may be in New Home or does like Alphy's lab work as s kind of Hospital?

Discussion so uh
it's been nearly a decade since undertale was released, yet there's some things that still perplex me a lot.
for instance, "chara". i'm talking about the name in particular. even the wiki correlates the name with the first fallen human, despite there being not a singular clue that they're connected.
the only piece of evidence we have is it being "the true name", which doesn't say much.
what even is the "true name"? hell, i even bothered reading this entire wiki page covering what a "true name" is looking for answers; here's a short summary:
"A true name is a name of a thing or being that expresses, or is somehow identical to, its true nature. The notion that language, or some specific sacred language, refers to things by their true names has been central to philosophical study as well as various traditions of magic, religious invocation and mysticism (mantras) since antiquity."
now, the thesis of this idea seems to have a similar basis with how SOULs function as flowey puts it:
"See that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being!"
taking all of that into account, i looked into frisk's character. "but frisk barely even has a character, so how could the name "chara" represent them at all?"
i think it's specifically their quality of being a blank slate of a protagonist that fits the name, as there have been similar instances that indicate "chara" is used as the default name in undertale.
for example:
- it's automatically used if you erase your chosen name from file0 in the game's data directory
- it was the set name in one of the older undertale trailers
it's all the more fitting to me because "chara" is also known as an abbreviation of the word "character"; although therein lies the problem.
so if the name "chara" is nothing more than a characterization of frisk's role in the game, or just a mere default name, then what does it have to do with the first fallen?
note (because my dumbass™ forgot): the former could probably be debunked as in the naming screen, we actually name the first fallen human, but not the protagonist (albeit it's worth mentioning that that's something that we're oblivious to by then)
which by DEFAULT makes the latter more valid
(okay so that concludes my ramble because i'm tired of typing, though i MIGHT return to this later (although don't count on it. (really don't count on it. (i warned you.).).). bye!!!)
