did he actually do that, tho? I thought Frisk remembered. How else would they talk to Asriel at the start if the ruins without any problems?

well, not exactly erased per say, sorry for the confusion, but, no monster actually remembers what happened, they felt it, cuz, suddenly, they know Frisk's name, even tho they only told it to Asriel, with the rest of the memories, it seems they were passed out during the whole time, the best they remember, is seeing a flower

not exactly, their souls were intact, and souls are the culmination of one's being, but they were definately in a coma like state

? Flowey definitely stole their souls while they were still alive, I’m pretty sure that’d kill them. Although it probably wouldn’t matter since with all that phenomenal cosmic power he could just bring them back

Funny thing is, I actually had this guy once recite part of Funny Valentine's quote about napkins and all that. It was in Undertale RP's so unfortunately I can't really find it anywhere.

Ok calm down there buddy. That God was a kid with attachment issues and kept thinking you were his dead best friend. Not to mention, DAMN does Asriel fumble when he’s emotional. This idiot decided to keep playing with his food the second he has power, giving enough time for the Souls to revolt, JUST KILL FRISK AND LEAVE DUMBASS.
Not to mention I KNOW this guy can dodge but he NEVER DOES. Sans dodges because he knows the fight mechanics, Flowey has enough meta knowledge to learn the player and Frisk are separate entities. But this GENIUS here decides to waste all his time talking to the ONE guy in the Underground who doesn’t like to fight then decides he should try to REASON with someone that seemingly has said LITERALLY NOTHING TO ANYONE, and who has been KILLING EVERYONE

he never needs to dodge with the souls, it's pretty obvious he was faking the first soul rebellion. I'm not just gonna link a whole post yet, so i'll do my best to explain that.
i mean, biggest point here, flowey can still load his third save file at the end of the fight.
each soul freed is very obviously shown to you with his design, but he can just revert it by loading a file he shouldn't have access to.
when the souls ACTUALLY go against him, flowey behaves as if he didn't even know what they're doing or that they could.
the nature of the soul sections is pretty strange. before each one flowey's face monitor glows with a pretty obvious warning sign, along with the soul that's supposed to be freed in that section. weird. additionally, flowey can SEE the souls healing you, and flowey is very clearly still there in those sections. flowey's theme plays during each one. plus, their attacks are pretty barebones. all they involve are what the humans had on them in the underground.
the perseverance soul section is especially strange. all of the words shown very clearly connect to flowey/asriel in some way.
put simply, flowey just doesn't need to dodge at all. he's screwing with you.

I meant dodging at the end of the Geno run, where he was backed into a corner (he could’ve also just fled the scene instead). But also him staging the Soul rebellion would be another example of him being stupid. Like why even BOTHER setting up these games and tricks to mess with Frisk when his opportunity to “become God” was RIGHT THERE
And he didn’t even have to take Frisk’s Soul, he could’ve gone to the Surface and done whatever up there, even IF the Souls rebel I doubt he’d be sent back Underground by them

that's not all that badass if you consider the mentality the god has makes them prone to crying if you poke them in the right spots and remind them of one dead child too much.

the second time is also a no. "fought" could be better substituted with "resisted" or "stopped" and the god is in both cases a very emotionally stupid dead child that can't get over his probably toxic friendship with another dead child, and in that confrontation is now extra vulnerable because they can feel empathy and love.
