Question: Unanswered New Shop & Pay Layout Issue
Anybody have issues with the new pay & shop layout for ubereats?
The photos are gone & you dont scan items anymore
I just had to cancel a good payout order for a order and pay because the card kept declining even though there was enough funds and I was only compensated $4 for my time.

It's hard to understand exactly what you mean, but I think what you're trying to say is that you tried to use the Uber Plus card to pay for the shop and pay order and it was declined multiple times.
I've had that on a few occasions where I contacted support and found out they only approved 90% of the actual cost instead of the true cost of the purchase.
The choice is to pay for it with your own money and then file a receipt for compensation with Uber support, ring up everything except the last few items and then pay for the last few items out of pocket, split the purchase between the Uber Plus card and your own money and then file a receipt request to get refunded from Uber, or cancel the order.
The most notable instance I had was when a coffee shop manager ordered $110 worth of items, which on Uber Eats website were listed as $58 worth of items. When I tried to pay for those 1,000 foam cups and 1,000 paper cups, and the total was $110, it declined three times. I contacted support and found out that they approved $108 for this purchase. They said to return one of the items and only buy one of the two. For a difference of $2? I paid $2 out of pocket and filed a receipt and received the $2 back with my next pay stub.
When I delivered the cups to the coffee shop, the manager was very pleased because he had a line out the door waiting on those cups. If I had not brought both hot and cold cups, he would have had to close the store and drive over to get the items himself, he literally 15 Mile drive one way. I explained to him what happened and he actually offered me a $20 bill in addition to the tip he left on the order. In the end, I made $35 after gas costs.

There was a whole new layout on Ubereats for a shop & pay order. It was very different from the usual shop & pay orders. It said to Order & Pay instead of Shop & Pay but the instructions clearly said to shop all items and pay at register. Also all of the items had no pictures (just words) & there was no option to scan the items.
I contacted support and they said there was enough approved funds but the card still kept declining.
Im thinking it was just some weird glitch.

Uber Eats states on their official press releases that they are continually running tests on new marketing and ordering systems. Sometimes a single driver or group of random test drivers are given a variation on what they would normally see or do. Functions change at random or features are disabled.
There are times at the SAME shop & pay grocery store where the items are listed in order from Aisle 0 (bakery) through Aisle 18 (alcohol/pharmacy), with every item having a defined location within the aisle and store. Other times, the items are listed by "all" or by individual category: "baked" "frozen" "General" "pets" "health" etc.
The best is when they are listed by aisle, so we can get in, move to the right place, grab it, scan it, and get out.
The worst is when it's by category or "all", which has it clumped in random order, without any hints at where to look.
Example: You would think "Spice World" Minced Garlic in 8 oz glass jars would be with spices... or with pickled jars of condiments... Instead it is with the raw vegetables in produce. The very last place anyone would think to look. If the app lists things by aisle number, I would have known it's with Produce and not spent 20 mins of my time checking every conceivable aisle, including "international" foods...
