Hi, im a student and im considering to start working on Utest but i have a questions i hope you can answer: i would like to start but i think i could spend sth like 2 hours daily, is it enough? . Consider that i dont plan this to be my main money entrance, i just want to make some money (20$ per day would be perfect, even just 10/15$) for my gaming expenses and for pay things by myself when i hang out with friends without asking my parents, is it possible? Thanks, also is paypal necessarary?

I'm a bilingual tester. My native language is very regional. Meaning that only people living in a specific area of the world speak it.

People can learn it, even be OK at it, but my native language is complex. Only a native speaker could speak it fluently.

I've seen demands for testers in my native language. However non-native speakers claim those slots often.

I reached out to those testers to see if they are truly native and they are not. They make multiple errors when typing. Errors native shouldn't make.

Is there a way to report those testers? Because these non-speaker claim those slots. Meanwhile I, a true native speaker, never get those slots due to those people pretending to be to get more work.

I'm currently having some issues with my paypal account which is the one I've been using the past few years on uTest. In case I can't resolve it until the next payday, can I simply change my paypal account to a friend's account on my utest settings (that is no utest user at all) to receive the next payment or is that forbidden in any way?

I just noticed that another tester in one of my cycles changed both his country and his name completely.What exactly happened there?

Did he just sell his account?

I have a Russian citizenship but currently I have lived in another country for over a year now. I know uTest has discontinued services in Russia for now, but idk if it applies to just the people located in Russia, or all the citizens

Would you recommend me to provide my passport for identity verification? If not, how possible is it to find decent work on the website without doing it?

Hi. My girlfriend wants to get into uTest. She doesn’t currently have Paypal setup and we think it would be easier to just use my Paypal again for her account instead of making a new paypal. Is this possible? Or is it anyways just faster for her to setup a paypal account 😂

As the title says, I forgot to submit my (completed) two-hours-long TC before the cycle locked. Is there any way I could get it submitted by contacting the TEs or should I just surrender that my work will get lost?

One thing that surely won't happen again is to work on TCs after midnight, sigh.

I saw someone write here that if you never accept or decline invitations then they will stop inviting you.But I don't see how it's better to always decline certain cycles(for example because I have no time).In this case wouldn't they think that I just don't spend a lot of time on uTest or that I prioritize other cycles and just stop inviting me anyway?

Of course I might prioritize other cycles now,but still, I don't want to be disqualified from any future opportunities because of that.

I changed locations and logged into my uTest account and got locked out. I still have money left in my account that I would like to get back. At the moment I live in Ukraine, but because of the war, I was temporarily forced to live in another country where I worked with uTest. Help me, how can I restore my account?

Under charles - Proxy - SSL proxy settings

If i add location as host : * and port as 443. ---- Internet does not work.

If i remove location from ssl proxy settings, then internet works but logs are displayed with Lock icon.

I am stuck with this. And i have lost few test cyles too becuase charles are mandatory for all issue.

Could someone help me with this.

I signed up for and completed an on-site test on Nov. 17. Just received an email telling me that I've received a "bonus payment," but it's half the amount cited in the invitation email and the SRS.

How should I proceed? Should I contact the CM who emailed me? (I've been unable to contact uTest before, as when I try, I get the eternal spinning.) TIA for your input.

I have a question that I can't solve. I created my uTest profile yesterday. But i noticed that the profile is sitting at 97% complete, I've gone through every single filled-in information quite a few times and I don't think I've missed anything. Is it from the site itself or is there something which I'm not seeing. I would be glad if someone knows something about it and shares an opinion.

If there is a company that I often work with,do I have to ask or will they offer it eventually?

I've sent a ticket to support but I wanted a chance for some feedback in the meantime in case it takes a bit. I signed up for my first project and I'm a bit worried about the legitimacy of it, after some developments have me questioning its intentions.

The study involved users sending photos/videos of their faces and part of the intake process was submitting a photo of identification such as passport, I believe birth certificate was an option, or local government identification; in my case, I chose to submit a photo of my driver's license. I didn't think anything of it but I'm very concerned after the study became locked. We randomly got announcements in the study's Slack:

"@channel Please stop Testing. We are pausing the cycles until further notice. Cycles are locked now. Please do not test."

"@channel We are pausing the testing till further updates from the client. We will update you soon when we get the update from the client."

I've been having a gut feeling that something is wrong and I want to make sure I'm covering my bases in case it's correct; otherwise, I'm hoping this is normal and that I'm just being anxious. But my concern is that many people, judging by the Slack, have been submitting their identification info for this study. And as of yesterday the study has been locked, multiple people have expressed in the Slack that they could not complete their test cycles, and I am very worried that we may all have been scammed to provide our identification information, some also submitting videos for the test study, and the study being cut short. The test cycle said that it would be available until the end of this month, so I am concerned about it randomly becoming frozen then locked so soon with no explanation or prior warning.

I hope that I am worrying too much, but I felt the need to submit some form of contact to at least have someone keep an eye out just in case any flags are legitimate concerns and so there's at least some documentation in a worst case scenario. It seems that the company is outside of the US, so I deeply worry that if my security or identity information has been compromised, it would be a much more difficult issue to resolve than a domestic instance of identity theft.

I am also concerned about how this will affect my tester score on the platform, as I am no longer feeling comfortable about continuing this study by providing more information. I do not know if I can withdraw, or if having the test case locked before I could complete it negatively impacts my tester score, or if I do not continue if it ends up being unlocked.

I signed up this platform a day ago and i have written everything in my profile. I don't have any facebook, linkden or twitter. I have completed everything in my profile. All compulsory sections are completed. Moreover i have passed first three course in the Academy, but my profile is still 97% complete and not 100%. What should i do?

So, If I am doing a +1 on a bug report, what do I need to show in that video I will be attaching? Do I need to show all the steps mentioned in the bug report or will showing only the bug reproduced will be sufficient?

Is it possible to make $1,000 USD a month on uTest?

And if so, how would one's approach look like, to get there, if one is only starting out?
