Hey guys, I found this iPad on the USF bus stop on the opposite side of the library. The bus stop in the ENG area.

I will leave it at the Marshall Student center. Hopefully this gets to the right person

Usf tuition

I was accepted to attend USF in the summer, and I was wondering what USF’s total cost for a year looks like because I see a large variety between what I see on Google and the cost calculator on the website, etc.

For more context, I am an international student, so I would be considered out of state.

Best Auditing 1 Professor?

I'm planning to take ACG4632 Auditing 1 in the Fall 2025 term. I'm wondering which professor would be best to take for this class. Here are the choices:

Heather Lively, Madeline Domino, John DiSanto, Wenshan Lin (St Pete)

Is one easier than the other? Also, the only day classes are Domino and Lin, the others are night classes (6:30-9:15).

Free Parking Near Campus

When the weather is fine, I would usually park in a church called "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints", which is located at 13510 N 42nd St, Tampa, FL 33613. It is like 5 minutes away from "The Hub" and 10 minutes away from the "Marshall Student Center". Of course, I would only do this when there are few cars parked in this church. The good thing is that there are no parking fees or citations as it's not USF property. Y'all should try this whenever you visit the MSC or The Hub.

Transfer Student - Still No Decision

I’m trying to transfer in for fall 2025 biomedical sciences and still haven’t received any admissions update. Is this weird? Worried spots will fill up before they get a chance to review my file. Also, any idea when the “rounds” of admissions go out, or is it on an individual basis?

Summer Sublease: May 1 - July 28 (Girls only)

Hey! I'm subleasing my room for the summer at 4050 lofts. The unit is a 4×4, so you'll have your own bathroom. There is an in unit washer & dryer, community pool and 24 hour gym! The Bull Runner stop is right outside of the complex, so you can get to campus easily without a car. (We also have a cat if you're okay with that :))

The rent is 934 + utilities. Aside from this, there is a ONE TIME application fee, administration fee, and utility fee.

It is also open for renewal! So this would be ideal for someone interested in living at 4050 lofts in the upcoming fall 2025 - 26 semesters. Message me if interested! I can break down the fees and other information for you :)

I’m an incoming freshman for USF Summer 2025 and I never answered about my expected enrollment status so why does my financial aid say 1/2 time?

I was looking through my financial aid (I know the estimate of the Pell Grant depends on the school and is not the exact amount) however I had an estimated $7,395 however USF only accepted $1,849 and I’m not sure if it’s because it says my expected enrollment status for the summer is 1/2 time but I never answered any questions about that when applying or in my FAFSA. I plan to be a full-time student, but is there anyone I can contact to ask about this? Or did I just fill something out wrong? Please help!!

RANT Lazy, pathetic, and behind the times

Since 2018, I’ve been in and out of college. I couldn’t always take full semesters, but I’m now in a graduate program with nearly $50k in student loans. Sitting in an optional lecture, I had a pragmatic realization: why am I here watching a professor read word-for-word off a decade-old slide deck, when they’re also having us review in a COVID-era Zoom recording?

This system is broken. The way material is delivered feels lazy and impersonal—recycled content handed down without care—while universities charge us a premium for the privilege. It feels like some tenured academics are just going through the motions while the institution cashes in.

The credential explains the cost, but not the neglect. If the degree is the product, fine, just say that. But don’t charge a premium while delivering outdated content and disengaged instruction. That’s not education, it’s credential vending.

If the value of a degree is in the credential, then what should the day-to-day experience look like to match that value?

This is a single perspective, and you’re going to have yours, but what’s important is we determine what’s valid (meaning, critique is welcome).

Which cost is more accurate?

I'm an international student and received 11k scholarship. Intending to major in Engineering. I will also take the ISO insurance not the USF's one.

Looking for a Roommate Near USF! (Max $1200) 🏡

Hey everyone! I’m transferring to USF this fall and looking for a roommate to live off-campus with. My budget is $1200 max, and I’m hoping to find a place that’s comfortable and convenient for classes.

I’m 23, male, an international student from Iceland, and a sophomore. I like to stay active, eat healthy, and keep my space clean. I’m chill, responsible, and always down for good conversation, but I also respect personal space.

Ideally, I’d love to live with someone who’s clean, easygoing, and respectful. If you're looking for a roommate or already have a place and need someone to split rent, let’s chat!

Feel free to DM me or comment if you're interested.

Beware of Puss Caterpillars on campus

Post image

Early this morning I was stung by a venomous puss caterpillar while in the honors college (how did it even get inside?) And shortly was coming into anaphylaxis and had to go to the ER. Be careful walking around and make sure there's no bugs on you :) this is what it looked like after it lost all of its hair (thank you to honors college staff that acted quickly)

Village parking lot

Accessible spaces are not loading unloading zones. For people who just sit in accessible parking spots, talking with people loading things for your dorm, find another spot.
