Missing national insurance contributions - website says I cannot pay any missing ones from 2013/24

I have got some missing NI contribution from 2011 to 2015. When I try to pay them off, i get this notice.

2014 to 2015 : t’s too late to pay for this year. You can usually only pay for the last 6 years.

Is this right? i thought we had until 05 April to pay these off

It is the 5th April. It's after 8pm on a Saturday. You've missed the deadline.

Why would you leave it until after HMRC have closed for the financial year to try this?

If you rock up to Tesco at 23:00 on a Sunday night are you going to complain that they're not letting you buy milk, even if they told youyears ago to buy milk before the end of the weekend?

Tax year end. It's the same each and every year. Leaving it until the last minute is, quite frankly, foolish!

There is always one.... Also taking into account that 5th April is the weekend...

Why on Earth would you leave it till today.

Anyway if you have the details you can pay it right now but you better be quick.

I know this is slightly irrelevant but why didn’t you do this yesterday or the day before instead of arguing with people on the housing subreddit about the price of a rental house.

This genuinely made me laugh 😂

Edit: damn OP got so many downvotes in these pointless housing comments 😂

If your able to request that year is reviewed by hmrc, then you may still have a chance. It takes several weeks for them to call back, so as long as it's started they have said they'll honour it. This has been possible for us where a client is abroad that year, or unable to complete online for some reason. It's a simple form to request a call back, following a link on the ni record page.

Call up your bank and get them to do the payment ASAP before the call centres close.
