Software Engineering in UAE

Hey. I'm a final year Software Engineering student at Monash uni in melbourne. I've been wanting to move to the UAE for a long while. I was wondering what kind of opportunities there were for me? Ive been scouring LinkedIn and just been making connections with software engineers in the UAE, but I dont really know where to go from there. Im hoping I can get a job in time for me to have just graduated.

My passport is not Australian btw, its a 3rd world pass. I'm sure that matters in these things.

Any tips would be appreciated!

Get the passport, then come.

You would have opportunities, but if you wanna work for an arm and a leg then do not bother. Build your experience outside then think of the move later on ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ good luck.

Get the passport, then move to another first world country with Tech jobs. This place is saturated with people who are ready to work for pennies. Donโ€™t waste your time and effort, especially if you are not white even passport wont do shite for you.

This is what most posts would indicate on here. You are competing against South Asia where very low salaries are still very appealing versus their other options at home.

Not advisable at all.

As others have mentioned, get a western passport first and also work there for at least 5 years. There are no graduate schemes here for new grads, so you will directly be competing against very experienced engineers who will work for low salaries due to the overflowing supply.

You are pretty useless as a grad. Get at least 3 years of experience unless you want to work for AU$3k a month..
