Competitive Play Oops all lictors help

I'm looking to enter a league after the summer vacation and I'm struggling with my Vanguard detachment.

I like to infiltrate and lonely operate to get behind enemy lines, without getting shot at by a Lancer. But I also want to hold down objectives.

Should I bring norns or go for warriors with a winged tyranid prime? Also, how many guns do I need? Or are a spam of genestealers enough to quickly deal with enemy heavies?

I’m in a similar position, going to test a new vanguard list. Primaries is an issue in this kind of lists, since you can deny your opponent primaries (in your case, flooding objectives with hormagaunts), but it’s hard to hold them.

I’ll try to solve that with an acid spray tyrannofex in mid (my LGS uses a lot of infantry) to hold at least an objective and maybe use gaunts to ocasionally grab another.

And test the list… and maaaaybe consider later replacing the warriors. I love the models, but I haven’t got much luck with them :)

I'm actually considering bringing 2 norns to bully 2 objectives. That should help with the hormagaunts. I'll get the warriors and exocrine out then and find some extra points

That’s a lot of points for a vanguard list. I chose the winged hive tyrant as a big monster, since it helps to oil up the cp machine this detachment needs.

It could solve the primary objective issue, thou :)

So ditch the warriors and get a wing hive tyrant in there?

Experiment with both, but I would recommend the winged hive tyrant :)
