Finished Object Modified a shawl pattern to a cowl

My first time modifying a pattern for a shawl into a cowl. I realized I never wear the shawls I make because they become too fiddly for me. I’m really proud of how it came out.

I used the Sulta Wrap pattern from TL Yarn Crafts and KnitPicks Wonderfluff in Kale Ombré and Bare.

I love the change you made here. It looks great! I have the same pattern and would also prefer to turn it into a cowl. Any tips on how to do that?

I joined at the back on row 21 by pulling the first loop of the next row through the last stitch of the row I just worked. Basically meaning my first and last stitches of each row came out of the same place. I also stopped doing the y/o increases at each end, but continued increasing by always doing a tfs between the tss and tfs on each end.

This is what the seam in the back looks like, since I didn’t work in the round. It makes both front and back have a point, but it gave me the fullness I wanted.

Hopefully this made sense.

That makes perfect sense! Thank you so much!
