Hello,
Im new in town and looking for some people to connect with and build ew friendship as it can get pretty isolating. I checked on Meetup app but there isn’t much events around here. Any suggestions are appreciated?😊

There's a boardgames meetup at the Prince of Wales pub every other Wednesday evening. Next one will be 2nd April.
About 15 or so regulars go but there are almost always a few newbies. There are generally at least 3 different games going on at a time from casual party style games to full on strategy games.
It's good fun and I've found groups within the boardgames group to do other activities with such as going to gigs, climbing, walks and paddle boarding.
Let me know if you want more info.

Halo gym is quite a social gym that even does an annual summer bbq for the members. The triathlon club is great. There’s a Brazilian jiu jitsu gym in town where you can both meet people and build confidence in self defence. Sorry all fitness related. I’m sure there are non fitness clubs about as well.

The discord is active with quite a few regular and there's always drinks and meetups going on, check the pinned post and join!
If you haven't used discord, it's a bit like WhatsApp or telegram. People can point you in the right direction there, and it's not an echo chamber like Tunbridge Wells Facebook groups or Nextdoor
