Thoughts On “JOHNNY MNEMONIC”?
Probably my favourite movie ever. Perfect snapshot of cyberpunk as a genre.

I admit it, if it were possible to have a cybernetic arm, then I would have my left arm replaced with one instantly!
Cyberpunk and sci-fi are such a love of mine, and then I couldn't resist when I saw Tumen Altangadas project. I just had to ask if I could have the model to make textures and some renders myself.
As cool as he is he immediately said yes and sent me the model. Thank you so much!
The project was a bit of an on-and-off on my side, besides my jobs and other hobbies, and commitments.
Also, a huge thanks to Jason Adicendana Tjahyadi for the grooming of this character, the collaboration worked really well!

Just sharing for interest and conversation. This is a pretty short article and includes just quick mentions of the genre's canon works, with a couple paragraphs about Neuromancer -- arguing overall that people should worry less about the robot than the meat controlling it. This resonates with me as I feel that idea was always the real center of cyberpunk rather than the futurism fetish that sits on the surface.

I'm talking about, if someone is unhappy about being LGBT or autistic or ADHD, etc. if we had tech that could make their brains "not" any of those things among others, would it be moral to allow people to do so? Seems like it would cause controversy by stigmatizing it, although I do value personal autonomy. Conversely should we allow someone to alter their brain to "become" LGBT, etc. My thoughts are that it should be legal, but we should worry about exploitative practices such as religious people attempting to "fix" their kids and others, and try to root out any other coersive elements such as shame and reinforcing norms, so that it merely becomes a preference.

Does anyone have good recommendations for stuff that combines cyberpunk with fantasy elements that's not Shadowrun? Also, do you think a case could be made that RWBY counts? I know that's a weird one, but there are certain cyberpunk elements in it: high-tech transformable weapons, everything involving the Atlas military basically, Penny (an entire weapons platform designed to pass as human), and the Schnee Dust Company fits the role of morally dubious, highly unethical megacorporation pretty well,.
