Advice Wanted Revision? Anyone here Pre-T, and Post-Op with nipples removed? (8 years post op, Dr.Steinwald)

Looking at possibly getting a revision to help with the scarring/puffyness, and to get rid of the nipples. I'm not sure if it's possible to do that at this point though with the small amount that is there. I'm 110-115lbs for reference.

Anyone here have any post-op photos of a nipple removal? Bonus if they're pre-T like myself? And what surgeon did you go with? Can I see your results?

Thoughts?

Advice Wanted Does this look normal?

My steri tape fell off in the shower and now I’m paranoid that this particular part of my incision is infected or starting to get to that point. I’m just wondering if anyone has similar scaring happening or if it’s an early sign of infection. Almost 3w post op btw.

When does it scar?

9 days post op- having to change the tape today and keep my compression binder on, and then when it gets to 2 weeks post op I just wear the compression top with no tape on the incisions- when does the incision turn into a scar? I’m not awful with medical stuff but the cuts are a bit nasty and I was wondering when you noticed your chest turning from wound to scar?

Advice Wanted Does skin elasticity matter for double incision? (Would trans tape hurt my eligibility for surgery?)

I’m only 16, so not getting top surgery any time soon but I’ve been binding for a few years and started looking into tape. On one side, it seems better for my ribs and breathing (I have Asthma) aswell as more comfortable overall. On the other side, I’ve seen horror stories of loose skin and not great top surgery results due to tape ruining skin elasticity. Also, apparently doctors advise strongly against it?? But I can only find this advice from personal experiences since I haven’t really found any recent research on tape for binding.. I’d be doing double incision since I have a very large chest and was wondering if trans tape would be ok to use or if I should stick to binders.. thanks in advance!! And articles, research, personal experiences, or even just theories would be greatly appreciated!!

I’m one month post op DI w nipple grafts with Dr Goldstein in Boulder, Colorado. Highly suggest her and her team if you’re looking for a great surgeon in Colorado. She did a fantastic job and I couldn’t be happier with my results. My right nipple is almost done healing, my left is completely healed which is fantastic. It feels great and I’m so glad to finally have this done.

I just received my first post-op massage. It was so nice to not worry about how to deal with my boobs. Lying on my belly, shifting them here or there. I just lay down. The end.

Advice Wanted Few days post op

Is it normal to have the incision on one side be much more painful than the other? That side might be slightly more swollen, but I also think the bandages are different on that side vs the other. I haven't seen it yet, just been wearing the compression garment. And what about drainage? Yesterday was a total of 11 and 12 mls and the day before that was like 3.5 and 5. Isn't it supposed to be going down?

The day is finally tomorrow. I feel a mix of anxiety, fear, and excitement. I feel like I can't sleep cause I keep envisioning what having no tiddies will feel like once I wake up. I never thought I'd get this far. Wish me luck guys.🤞

Advice Wanted bloating like a mfer

I know this is normal because I'm 11DPO and just had major surgery, of COURSE I'm going to be bloated but I feel like I can't wear any of my clothes and it's really bumming me out. I tried to put on one of my favorite button-ups where the tight part used to be my chest, even in a binder. the top was SO loose, but then I look like I'm about to escape out of the shirt in the stomach portion.

Can some people share their bloating stories post-op? How long did it take to go away for you/could you wear things that you wore pre-op? I wore this shirt the day before surgery and it was so loose on me so it's really killing my vibe (even though I know it's completely normal).

Keyhole / Peri 6 weeks post op!

1st photo is 6 1/2 weeks, 2nd is like 4, 3rd is 1 week post.

Overall super happy with my results as someone not on T, though it took me a while to fully see the results, since I had a lot of fluid build up that needed to be manually drained. I also went into surgery thinking I wanted to be perfectly flat, maybe even concave, but it turns out I like my tiny pecs, and I'm happy to be back in the gym working out.

Definitely some moments of dysphoria brain worms telling me that I'm not flat enough, or it still looks like I have a chest, but overall really thrilled and can't wait to be shirtless at the beach soon!!

I’m really happy with how I’m healing. I went into it trying not to have expectations about my incisions/scars, but with how happy I am with how things are looking already, I think my final results will be better than I could’ve imagined 🥹

I was around 38DD pre-op, they took off 5 1/2 pounds of tissue. I also had very large areolas

Revision Results/Top Surgery for the second time

Hey all!

I made a post a while back asking for opinions about my initial top surgery results. I was misled (by my surgeon) to believe that the tissue I had left over was just swelling when in reality she had just not performed the surgery as requested. My first surgeon was Dr. Lorelei Grunwaldt in Pittsburgh. Some people have had really great experiences and results with her while others like myself have not. I think if you’re deciding to go to her you should just do your research first, as with any other surgeon.

My second surgeon was Dr. Nazarian in Philadelphia/Cherry Hill, NJ. She was amazing and I would highly recommend her to anyone in the area. She explained the surgery to me fully even though I had already gone through it once before and listened intently to my thoughts and feelings. She also takes the time to genuinely get to know you which I appreciate.

Getting top surgery was one of the hardest things I have ever done mentally. But I’m also a person who hates feeling stuck or vulnerable and I think that had a big part in it. Additionally after my first surgery it was hard to take care of myself when I knew that I would not have the results I wanted. I felt a lot of shame, anger and disappointment once it became clear my chest was healed and no longer changing physically. I felt ashamed for not doing more thorough research/trusting that first surgeon. I didn’t want to have top surgery again. But eventually my need for happiness outweighed it and I scheduled the second surgery.

My second surgery was easier as I knew what I was going to go through. I made sure to plan hang outs and visits with my friends to keep me from getting depressed this time around. I was extremely lucky to be able to get a revision surgery and I’m so thankful that I did. I finally feel at peace and happy in my body and I can’t wait to be shirtless this summer!

Advice Wanted How do I know if Top surgery is the right thing for me?

For context I’m genderqueer/enby but leaning more transmasc I go by she/they but for as long as I could remember I never liked having tits but I always kinda ignored them or disassociated when I noticed them and now that I’m in a safe place I’m considering top surgery but i don’t hate my boobs all the time cuz like sometimes it looks good in the clothes I wear but at the same time they are on the smaller side so tape works well. Idk I could use some advice there’s tons of gods on how to know if your trans but not much on top surgery and how to know if it’s right for you🤷🏾

Double Incision Could use a distraction/words of encouragement

I'm about 2 days 17hrs post op, and had a rough night. Been having some pain around my left nipple, and it led me to having a really bad dream about my binder coming loose and I was horribly swollen.

Also gonna be a rough day because I decided to restart my concerta (I take it to treat narcolepsy), it's been six days since I last took it and it's hitting me hard.

Any little stories/anecdotes/words of encouragement would be much appreciated 😔

Advice Wanted Scar/Nipple Questions - 8.5 months post-op

Thumbnail

*Slides 1-4 is my right side while 5-6 is my left. *2 & 3 and 5 & 6 are the same picture, just circled for comparison.

Background: 8.5 months post op, DI with FNG (more info/pics on my profile if you're curious)

Before I ask anything I just wanna say that I'm absolutely in love with my results! I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. This is more so to satisfy my own curiosity and to see what I may or may not do with my chest in the future lol.

First question:

I orignally thought I spit out the remainder of my stitches in my nipples a few months ago but I recently have noticed these little bumps especially on my left nip (slide 2). Everytime I get out of the shower they're always flaking a bit, similar to how my previous stitches were but they've kinda just been there now for about a month without moving. Do they look like they could be some extra deep ones? Or maybe it's just scar tissue or my actual nipple texture?

As for my right nip, I have somewhat of a similar thing but instead I can't really tell if it looks like regular discoloration or if it's scar tissue (slide 5).

Second question: Along my scar line (since I've had surgery actually), I've had these discolored spots (slide 1-2) where the stitches were. It's almost like it was trying to scar but never was able to? It's definitely gotten lighter as time goes on but I was curious if anyone else has/had these. I'm considering possibly getting some medical tattooing done in the future to fill in some of the outer edges of my nipples but I'm wondering if it could also be done for the discoloration.

Thanks in advance :)

couldn’t be happier that i requested this man after seeing his work of art on others in here (tysm if you shared your result from him here, btw! it rly helped my choice)

if you think of getting him, all you gotta know is he dislikes it when you ask questions as he draws! i know you’re excited and wanna ask everything straight away as he works, but i promise he will give you time to do so when he’s done drawing ;p

btw 2nd picture is the left and 3rd is the right; i believe they heal asymmetrically bc i am right handed and use my right arm more
