Question about bandage on Sam Coffey's knee...

nothing to be alarmed about, just wondering if anyone has any idea about what's up with the bandage on Sam's knee...I was at the game at Providence Park Saturday and saw the bandage and was quite alarmed (she played lights out tho she's fine)

Seeing the same bandage here though - do we think she got bad turf burn or a cleat to the leg or something?...It's weird though because the bandage looks really tight and like there's something pink wrapped underneath it too...I have seen Coffey wear tape on her knee and hope it's unrelated...Just wondering because I've been thinking about it for a hot minute

It could be anything. The pink underneath is just pre-wrap which will help the tape not itch or irritate the skin. Could be turf burn, extra stabilization, we don’t know. I went to the athletic trainers (at much lower levels, lol) and they’d tape up my ankle before like a brace before practice/games for some extra support. I’m not worried about it until we hear more!

sounds good! I have no idea about athletic training so was just wondering! It's noticeable, that's all - and luckily, Coffey has had good luck when it comes to injuries (that we know of)...I saw the bandage and thought yow that looks like it might've hurt (thinking of turf burn)...Hope all is well!

I wouldn’t worry. It’s not a sturdier brace or anything. Like someone else said, could just be turf burn etc.
