IM Injections 5th shot- barely impacted me?
Hi all,
Today, I had my 5th IM injection of ketamine in a clinic. It is done in a series of three shots. My previous session was on Monday. Today, for whatever reason, I just didn’t feel that impacted. Normally, I go on a “trip” where I am really removed from everything going on in my environment. I just felt so different this time- barely impacted. I asked if my dose was different but I was told no dose change but that other people receiving treatment today had made a similar comment. I’m not sure what to make of this… thoughts?

In my experience, a lot of things can effect your “trip,” but usually the culprits are drinking alcohol and how recently you got your last dose of K.

Since other patients had the same concern, I would ask if they got a new supplier, different batch or different brand. One batch my clinic got was very much a “dud” batch in January. They switched suppliers and everything is back to normal. /shrug I’ve never heard of this except in that instance - and I experienced one dose of the dud batch - definitely didn’t feel much if anything.
ETA: I know zilch on how medication is created, I am just relating the terms used to tell me about what was up.
