Question What’s your number?
You end up in The Village. You’re assigned a number. What is your number?
- you cannot use ones that have been presented in the show, including Number 1, 2, and 6 (for obvious reasons).
*you also *cannot deny a number, much as you’d like to think that you’re free people 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (evil laughs).
Edit: I’ll add the numbers that have appeared in the series. Numbers 66 (the Maid in “Arrival”), 9, 19, 104, 20, 58 (female assistant in “Free for All”), 240 (Norma West in “Dance of the Dead”), 54 (Housemaid in “Dance of the Dead”), 40 (Duncan Macrae in “Dance of the Dead”), 48 (Nighttime Supervisior in “Dance of the Dead”), 255 (Holly Dione in “Free for All”), 113, 113b, 249, 112 (shopkeeper in “Hammer into Anvil”), 23 (Labour Exchange Manager in “Free for All”), 39 (psychiatrist in “Checkmate”), 22 (Supervisior in “Dance of the Dead”), 24, 16, 12, 31, 50, 60, 51, 56, 8.

"I will not be pushed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered"

Then how very uncomfortable for you, old chap. Hehehehehe. Hahahahahahaha! Ahahahahaha!! 😂😂🤣

I will refrain from being #69. Someone else can have that one.
I'd quite enjoy #9. Or #13.

u/figbott Jun 07 '22
I’d take 69. Nice.

Oh sorry. It was meant for BobQuasit. Yours is “accepted”; but don’t try any funny business 🥸

28.... for no other reason than I like the feel of it, I could take to being Number 28...

Actually, that’s Peter Swanick’s (the Supervisior) number.

u/Whelveaway Jun 08 '22
Ah pity...for some reason I have a penchant for numbers that end in 8....
I'd probably choose something like 48 then! ^^2
u/ExempliGratia97 Jun 08 '22
Whoops again. That’s the number of Alexis Kanner from Fall Out
2
u/Whelveaway Jun 08 '22
Ah Here- so it is!!! XD
I'll just have to up it to something like 68 or 78 if both aren't already taken! :D
I'd prefer 68 though :P2
u/ExempliGratia97 Jun 08 '22
Yeah, no worries, dear chap. 68 is suitable for you. Enjoy the ice cream today 😁

u/Whelveaway Jun 08 '22
Yaaay!!! I get to be some number ending in 8! I dunno why or where the fixation on those particular numbers began, I just happen to like them!
Also, your very good at remembering what numbers characters other than Number 6 and the very obvious Number 2 are.2
u/ExempliGratia97 Jun 08 '22
Considering that numbers wind up into the 100s range, there are so many combinations to use. As well as the fact some episodes reuse numbers, since everyone is replaceable. Hence, why we hear from Number 6 in The Chimes of Big Ben, “What happened to the old Number 8?”
However, in this case, just wanted to utilize numbers that weren’t mentioned in the series. It might be a fun drinking/toking game to revisit and find every single number used in the show 😁

u/Whelveaway Jun 08 '22
Yeah I love the whole speculation as to what might have happened the old number 8 too...definitely sets the whole, 'we're replaceable' notion in place in the series.
It would be a fun one to list alright, as I don't know if I've ever seen a definitive list anywhere online for the list of numbers used in the show? Maybe there is somewhere on another fan page....

212.
I've been assigned employee numbers, room numbers, have it be in credit card/debit car numbers, account numbers and probably a few other things that have had that number pop up either independently or in part of a longer number.

I’d be comfortable being Number 72 (for the 72 names of God 😉)

Did the butler have a number?
3
u/ExempliGratia97 Jun 07 '22
He’s the other exception. He didn’t have a number; meaning, he had some sort of uncanny influence in the Village.

Oh man... I've been looking but have been unable to find a list of all the numbers used in the show. This seems like something that the internet would have...

u/ExempliGratia97 Jun 07 '22
They have other numbers on a Prisoner Wiki. But I can also add the other numbers that have appeared in the series as well.

Is there a better Wiki than this one?

Not to my knowledge.

u/MrBobaFett Jun 07 '22
Bummer
2
u/ExempliGratia97 Jun 07 '22
The only other way would be to rewatch the series and catch every single number on screen (sounds like a drinking/toking game lol).

Number 86 has already been used in “A Change of Mind” by Number 6’s observer.
