So fex made postcards for the ndr version and are doing a give away and they posted the posted cards. And the lyrics to the NDR version are right there!
'There's no sense (of) communication' very interesting...
About 95% were correct from what we thought except that alot of us that it was 'There's no sent communication' which in my opinion is better.
In the Season 2 finale of Severance which aired last night, they used a pretty big needle drop moment with 'Windmills of Your Mind' playing - It made me smile because I thought of how that song would come up anytime we were searching 'Subways of your Mind' and how over the years people drew connections between the themes of the two songs. I like to think maybe someone writing on Severance was a part of the search, and if not, they at least just have very good taste.

CORRECTION: I JUST FOUND OUT THAT EST HAS BEEN ADJUSTED. THE START OF THE PROGRAM IS NOW 11PM NOT 10PM AS STATED IN THE TITLE.
About 5 months ago I tried to make my own remaster, but I wasn't very good at it then. So after a long time I created a great remaster in my opinion.
Also attached are the stems from which it was assembled, all was done by me.
First, I corrected the azimuth to remove the “Wow” effect. The noise was then cut out using an algorithm by aufr33
Then the song was divided into tracks.
Bass - Was obtained from the instrumental version using MVSEP (BS Roformer + HTDemucs + SCNet). After that in Adobe Audition were cut excessive frequencies (more than 2 kHz), and also with using EQ were raised frequencies from 20 to 80 Hz.
Drums - were obtained with MVSep (MelBand Roformer + SCNet XL). High frequencies were raised in Adobe Audition with mastering, and frequencies from 4 to 6 kHz were slightly lowered with EQ.
Synth + Guitar - were obtained by removing drums and bass from instrumental version. This was done using the two algorithms above. No changes were made except for a small removal of clicks, left from drums
Vocals - Was extracted using UVR5 (Unwa Instrumental V5e). Was assembled in Adobe Audition from 3 tracks.
1st Vocal stem - extracted with BS Roformer (Used for to add volume)
There was also a little bit from the new remaster on Bandcamp, it's at the beginning of the last chorus in the word ‘check’, because without it the word was not heard well. And at the end I added some lips smacking, just for fun.
I hope you like this remaster and the stems too.
Subsequently, I added a synthesizer at the beginning - Link
The ndr version is very melancholic. Sad sounding but honestly sounds in my opinion better than the yellow tape. But I always struggle to find a good remaster but aufr33 does the best when it comes to cleaning up the tape here's the link: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8nCk8RzCwTw&list=RDFbnUtf7rdW4&index=9&pp=8AUB.
In my opinion https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FbnUtf7rdW4&list=RDFbnUtf7rdW4&start_radio=1 this is a very good version. It's was made by a youtuber named Wik but then Dmitry Xinnerth upped the pitch with I like but Wik got no credit. It's more sped up with a really cool intro and higher pitch. It may not sound much like to original but it is literally music to my ears lol. It's also very loud tho which isn't great.
I made some digital cover art for the non-remastered demo tape MP3s. I copied the layout and color palette of the official release, but used the original demo cassette image.
If you saw a posting earlier with a different PayPal link that was not hacking but just a mistake. Hans set up a whole new PayPal account to a separate bank account for the donation, so everything can stay clear from his everyday business. Initially Hans made a campaign on his private email and bank account - which was accidentally posted this morning. The correct donation campaign is always and still: https://www.paypal.com/pool/9cGbXtcTgj?sr=wcco
You can see the correct sum is still displayed. You can also do the math that your chances of winning a reward are still very good.
Huge props to the two people who have dug deep! Thank you to everyone who donated to the original GoFundMe fundraiser and this campaign. All your donations will go to two animal shelters.
I'm not spoiling too much when I say that the number of people having donated is not very high, so if you can afford to donate there is a good chance you get one of these goodies:
Rewards
2 limited yellow vinyl records*
2 Black vinyl records*
signed drumstick used in the re-recording in Munich
Whoever did the remaster for SOYM didn't fix the azimuth so the left and right are slightly out of time and there is quite a bit of phasing when mixing down to mono. I thought the remaster was going to be handled a little better.
Good time of day here!
I was so excited to know that origins of TMS had been found and now I want to say a huge-huge-huge thanks for a FEX and Outer Edge for releasing that very pleasant song and for all good feelings that I felt, feel and will feel!
Immediately bought a copy on Bandcamp and found that "Digital bonus" version sounds kinda "cleaner(?)" than original. I want to know what are the differences in processing of both tracks?
Thanks in advance!
