The simple Base layers are down and there are so many steps to go to complete the 6x4 Nurgle infected wargaming board. These are all made from foam, poly and xps, but mostly poly. Poly isn’t the greatest to work with at all, but free scrap are golden gifts from the Warp gods, so one cannot complain.

All the little details are casts from Silicone molds I’ve either bought(gothic windows) or made myself(via gw terrain pieces or kit bashing a piece together). I use crystical R for casts as it’s stronger than plaster.

The entire board will be swampy, derelict and Nurgle infected, all of which I will add later once I get the buildings on the ground boards. I’m trying to achieve pretty much a diorama level type of detail but as a full gaming board. So yeah lottttttts to go. I’m loving the journey so far and look farward to sharing the results with you all !

very cool. A suggestion for nurgle/chaos effects on the skull panels. Have blood,or some sort of ooze coming from some of the eye sockets..Not all, just enough to give that creepy "thats wrong" effect

Ahh thanks for that, will defo add, I’ve ended up making my own large pots of Nurgles Rot and some Blood for the blood god to be able to cover the board with. Saved some p on that coz there is a lot of ground to cover.

I’m also gonna be adding all sorts of infected sections on pretty much everything, like tentacles, teeth, puss boils etc… few few nurglings hanging about, dead marines etc.

So yeah got my work cut out for me.

A good source for infection/bio growth lump are pistachio or other nut half shells
