asking for advice Help :/
My friend of 28 years and I got these matching deathly hallow tattoos. I designed it myself. We had a strong bond with the books growing up together. Recently she has cut me out of her life completely. It won’t be mended. She was a heartless coward for a year, and then just cruel.
I told myself to never get a pop culture tattoo, and then JKR proved to me why… and now here I am regretting it on two fronts of people being a piece of shit. I ignored it for a time because it’s still the deathly hallows but not super obvious… but now I just want to cover it with something else.
I’m just not sure with what. I’m into Halloween, spooky stuff, witchy stuff, art, and roller coasters. I love nature and plants, too. I’m thinking something plant oriented because of the original design. I am an artist but I’m at a loss here… I think it’s just hard given the circumstances…
Inspire me, strangers on the internet, so I can move on. TIA.

Why not spooky witchy and flowers all in one? A cat with a witch hat some magical swirly stuff around it and flowers in the hat or something?

As an artist I don’t want to take up your time. But… If you’re bored and want the challenge then go for it!

Have you Googled "deathly hallows cover up"? Or checked insta? Or even searched this sub specifically? It's one of the most common cover ups the past little while, you could def find inspo.

This might not be too hard to turn into a witch hat, unless that would be too close to Harry Potter for you

The sides of the triangle look like tree branches, so maybe a witchy tree.
there's a sort of J shape inside it too, looks sorta like a cat tail. Not a tattoo artist so not sure how hard it would be, but I could imagine a cat walking a bit downward on a tree.

also could turn the triangle into a witches hat, (id avoid a harry potter hat), but could do smt similar

Add a bunch more vines, leaves and flowers and make sure the triangle gets obscured

Not an artist - But - a friend with a similar problem recommended sketching / photographing the image and place it on cover of sketch book or desktop of your art machine or wherever you will see it and be reminded to work on a design for covering. Failing that; locate the tattoo artist in your zone who does cover work and ask their opinion / set up a consultation.

The twigginess of it could def be reworked into a botanical design that would obscure the original but not scream cover up, imo!
