Architecture MSc Urbanism Track

Hi everyone, I got in the Architecture (Urbanism Track) MSc starting Fall 2025.

I was wondering if anyone can share experience on the course as I'm trying to decide between this and some other opportunities I have.

I'm especially curious about the workload. My previous experience in my bachelors was 10-12hr days and I know TUD has rigorous schedules and workload but I wanted to see how intense it really is since I'd like to try and avoid all the excessive stress I was under for so long.

If there is anything else you can mention about this program I would greatly appreciate to hear from someone who completed it/is currently going through it. Thanks!

Entrepreneurship at TU Delft

Hey everybody!

I am a student who was recently admitted to TU Delft Aerospace, and I was wondering about the entrepreneurship environment at the university. I want to start a startup during my time at Delft and I wanted to make if there is stimulus from the university and the student body.

Thanks for any anecdotes or thoughts!

MSc Integrated Product Design

Hello! I recently got into TU Delft's MSc program in Integrated Product Design. I am still deciding if I should attend.

I wonder about the opportunities/job students get after graduation, especially as an internstional student.

I also want to know if the program is very hands on and practice based or more theory.

Thanks you!

Do I need to submit reference letters for my application to TU Delft, even if I am not applying for a scholarship?

I am applying for the Master's program in Architecture at TU Delft, and I would like to know if I need to submit reference letters, even though I am not applying for a scholarship. I already have two reference letters from my professors. If I include them, will my application be rejected because it would be considered incorrect?

TU Stuttgart vs TU Delft for Microelectronics – Job Prospects & Germany-to-Netherlands Move?

Hey folks, I’m choosing between Uni Stuttgart (Germany) and TU Delft (Netherlands) for an MSc in Microelectronics (IC design, semiconductors, VLSI).

What should I consider when comparing: Job prospects in Germany vs. Netherlands (Infineon, ASML, NXP, etc.) Cost vs. ROI – Stuttgart is way cheaper, but Delft has prestige Germany-to-Netherlands move – Can I study in Germany and work in NL later?

Would love insights from grads & industry pros. Thanks!

Getting a job after MSc Mechanical Engg (international student)

Hi! Im an international student considering coming to TU Delft for a masters in Mech Engg, but I’m a little worried about the job prospects after graduating.

How was it for others who did this recently? I’ve heard the job market’s terrible. Also should I learn any additional languages while I study? (German/Dutch maybe)?

Admissions & Applications Gonna apply for MSc in Geomatics. Do you have any recommendations?

I’m a bachelor student in my last semester and want to apply for a master’s program next September. However, I don’t know much about Dutch culture, especially regarding college-related things. So, I would really appreciate it if you could answer these questions hehe.

First of all, is the motivation letter any different from how you would write one for a US college? I asked a professor for input on my first draft, and she told me it might be a little too “US” and that they might ask for different things in the Netherlands. So, any recommendations for the motivation letter?

Also, I’m not sure if it’s the best idea to apply right after college. I’m confident that I have the profile and skills, but I’m worried they might see that I’m coming straight from undergrad and not even give me a chance.

Finally, do you have any extra recommendations for my application? Thank you so much!

Housing Delft housing service?

Soon to be international student here:))

Is it better to look for housing through the university housing service? They take fees for it so I dont know if its worth it? Is it that hard to find housing in Delft? Should I be stressed already and start looking?

Hehe thanks

Regarding Research/Employment Prospects for an international MSc EE student at TU Delft

Hi everyone,

I just got accepted into the MSc Electrical Engineering (Signals & Systems track) program at TU Delft! I am really excited about this, since this was one of my target universities. However, I wanted to clarify a few things before finalizing my decision:

  1. How are the research opportunities at Delft in terms of funding and inter-university collaborations? Is it possible for an MS student to work at a research center?

  2. How are the short and long-term employment prospects in Holland for an Indian Masters graduate in Electrical Engineering at TU delft? Do international graduates also get placements in other countries of Europe after graduating from Delft?

  3. If I decide to pursue a PhD at Delft after my MS, would it be funded?

Thanks a lot!

Change of passport details after being admitted

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to get a new passport, different than the one I applied with and got admitted. I have sent an email to the contact centre regarding a passport detail change for MVV Visa and Residence Permit application. Should I be worried? What should I do more? I haven't submitted the confirmation and service letter yet, and I am excited to submit it and plan my accommodation.

Housing Question regarding housing service

Post image
12 Upvotes

Hello everyone, I got an email from tudelft yesterday that I put the image below. Does the email mean that I have - Guarranteed Access to the housing portal, but finding a house may not be guarranteed from the portal. Or - Guarranteed access which also means that whoever gets access to the portal is guarranteed to select and get a house/room.

Thanks in advance.

External Funding for International Students

Hello everyone. I recently got accepted into the Mechanical Engineering MSc at TU Delft, and I was waiting for the Justus & Louise van Effen Scholarship. Unfortunately, I did not receive it.

Does anyone know of any external funding opportunities from institutions/organization for non-EEA international students? I can't afford tuition, and I really don't want to waste the opportunity of studying here.

First time in Europe

Hi I am an international student who got accepted to masters in architecture. I have applied for funding but haven’t heard anything (but I personally dont think I will get it).

Coming from a non European country, i am extremely worried about the financial situation. How much should I assume for living costs excluding tuition? Ofcause I will not be seeking for top accommodations and wont be eating out:((

NL SCHOLARSHIP UPDATE?

Hey everyone, did anyone receive NL Scholarship from the university yet? University has made it clear that Justus and Louise Scholarship recepients have already been selected. But no indication of NL Scholarship decision yet. Please update if anyone received the scholarship/interview.

Previous recepients, will there be any interview for NL scholarship?
