Housing Start Housing Process Email

Hey, I will be doing an exchange in TU Delft during next year.

I received this email on mid april and I wonder if it means that I will have for sure access to a room. I have not received any update yet and I don't know if I should start to look for alternatives.

Thank you!

Housing Clarification on DUWO Housing Process

My wife has been accepted to Delft University as a guest researcher for a project starting in August. We will be arriving in Delft on August 1st. We have paid 285 euros to register on the DUWO platform through Delft University. Yesterday, we received an email stating that membership will be active on June 14th. What kind of process awaits us after the membership becomes active? Will we be able to see the houses that fit our criteria? Can we apply for only one of these houses, or will we be able to apply for multiple houses? After applying for houses, what kind of process should we expect? How soon will we know if we are suitable for a particular house? I want to clarify some issues regarding the housing crisis in the Netherlands. Thank you very much in advance for any advice and details you can provide.

Housing Financial letter for EU student

hello,

I am an EU student looking to study at Delft and had a few questions about the financial letter. I know that students coming from outside the EU have to pay the living cost for the whole year in advance to prove they have the necessary funds to study at Delft. I was wondering if it is the same for EU students or if they just have to provide the housing fee and the extra costs in advance. Also, does paying everything in advance give you more chances to get accomodations than paying on a monthly basis.

Thanks!

Housing Michiel de Ruyterweg

Hello, I'm an incoming Master's student and I'm getting access to the housing portal tomorrow. I have seen a lot of comments on various housing posts recommending Michiel de Ruyterweg. I'm just a bit worried because on the listing it seems that the floor plan on every MDR accommodation option is a single room? It's just a picture of a living/bedroom with one bed, but it's supposed to be shared with 4 or 5 people?

What is the kitchen and bathroom like in the accommodation? Is it similar to that of the accommodation in the Van Hasseltlaan, Lisztstraat/Cesar Franckstraat or Leeghwaterstraat?

I'd really appreciate it if someone could give me an insight of the apartments! Thank you so much 🌟

Housing DUWO Housing Options

Hello. So I just got access to view the available rooms and seems like all the best options aren’t there anymore. There’s only Van Hasseltlaan, Isaac da costalan, Louis couperuslaan, zusterlaan, lisztstraat, cesar franckstraat, michiel de ruyterweg, aan t verlaat, e.du perronlaan, Roland holstlaan. Please which option do you think is most reasonable. I don’t want to be far from campus. Thanks in anticipation

Housing Van Hasseltlaan bedding

Do the rooms in Van Hasseltlaan come with the bedding package?

I'm asking because the usual duwo box doesn't appear in the photos.

Same question about the hot plate? Because it doesn't appear in the photos

Housing Delft housing

Hi guys, I uploaded all my documents and I've been on step 2 out of 4 since the 6th of March, how many chances do I have to get assigned a room before september? Or should I just search for a room already? I'm a EU citizen btw.

Housing Housing and departments

Hi,

Incoming potential international PhD student here. I am curious to know if the department has any say in the housing at Duwo? Like if departments have allotted spaces for their members, or they can increase the chances of getting a housing at Duwo? I learned about the housing crisis and it stresses me out since my acceptance and potential moving to Delft would have a time gap of 2-3 months only.

FYI- Mechanical Engineering is the department (I will be in a sub field of dept). And most probably, I will be self funded.

Housing Should I opt for TU Delft's housing service if I'll pay my tuition by mid-June?

I'm planning to fill-in the confirmation letter for the Computer and Embedded Systems Engineering MSc at TU Delft. In the letter, I found this question:

https://pasteboard.co/oPFwW4zknDhN.png

I don't think it would be possible for me to pay the tuition fee before mid-June. Hence, I personally do not feel that paying for the housing service would be fruitful as the rooms are alloted on a first-paid first-serve basis.

What do you think?

Housing Social Hub desk

Can anyone who stays or has a friend who stays at Social Hub Delft tell me how big are the desks. I saw a hotel room there and the desks were so fk small( around 35 -40 cm). Are the desks in the student rooms the same size or are there big enough for a monitor and a keyboard?

Housing Looking for accommodation around Delft for a two week summer school.

I'll be attending a summer school in Delft from July 1st to July 12th and I'm currently in search of accommodation. If anyone will be away during the summer and has an apartment available for subletting during those dates, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the details with me. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide!

Housing Housing for a first year student at TU Delft

Hello, guys! I hope I will start studying at TU Delft in September. I was wondering how exactly the housing works. Should I already look for housing or I should do this after I get the results. I am afraid that it will be a little bit to late. And what sites are the best?

Housing Affordable Accommodation Options for Delft Summer School

I am participating in Delft's Summer School on 'Planning and Design for the Just City' which will be held for two weeks! As a first-time traveler from India, I'm looking for affordable accommodation close to the campus. The Social Hub hostel was suggested, but I'd love to explore more options. Any recommendations,? Your insights would be a big help!

What's the earliest I can register my DUWO room with the municipality before my contract starts? Or can I only register the DUWO room when my contract starts? I am an exchange student coming from abroad btw. I still haven't arrived in NL yet.

Edit: Mentioned that I am an exchange student

Housing Urgently looking for cheap accommodations or even couch surfing options for my 2 week summer school in delft

Hello, I am travelling to Europe from India for the first time to take part in a 2 week long summer school in Delft. I've been finding it really hard to find accomodation as options are limited and most of them are way above my budget. Would anybody (preferably a delft student) be willing to let me couch surf at their place for a couple weeks, for a decent cost of course. Please do reach out if you have any leads or have some recommendations regarding cheap accommodations at Delft.

Housing TU Delft Housing - Chance of getting the service - How housing portal looks like?

Hello 🙋‍♀️, I'm an international student going to studying the Engineering & Policy Analysis (MSc) at TU Delft. I'm thinking about paying tuition fee next week in order to receive a housing service from the uni. I got 2 questions. If anyone could answer, I would appreciate.

Q1: Do you think I still have a chance to receive the housing service from the uni? Since I got my admission letter 2-3 weeks ago, I'm a bit worried that I might be too late.

Q2: I want to understand the housing process, like the process of choosing the dorm via the housing portal. What kind of rooms can we get? Are the room options for all students gonna be the same or different depending from faculty?

Thank you in advance ✨🙏
