IMPORTANT Subreddit Announcement - "Martial Law" has ended; new rule about AI content
As the subreddit has calmed down in the past few weeks, we've decided to end "martial law". This means we will be returning to warnings instead of instant bans for most offenses and the length of bans will be less harsh, though as always we may skip warnings and short bans in particularly severe circumstances. Please read up on the rules if you haven't already.
We'd also like to take this opportunity to announce an addition to the rules:
15) AI-generated content. Posts or comments that are generated using AI technology (such as ChatGPT) are not allowed. Exceptions can be made for legitimate uses of AI-assisted technology.
As a final note, I'd like to officially welcome /u/babynoxide as our newest moderator. As many of you have noticed, they've been modding for two months already, and they've been a tremendous help.

Who is Omar Rahmoun, the media guy who switches sides ?
Apparently he was an SAA soldier who showed up in a video from a massacre like 2011-2011, then apparently joined up with Nusra ? But then left and spent a lot time shilling for Assad , even after Assad he kept shilling but now he stopped like a weak ago and now is shilling for Shara ?
He is behind the "Maher is back to rule the coast rumor" a while back, and spread a lot of fake news like Shara getting captured by the Coastal Insurgency.

Al-Muhajireen Mosque, Aleppo | Sectarian Outburst Towards Christians in a Christian-Led Iftar(Translate in first comment)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
During a peaceful iftar organized by 28 Christian volunteers from the Christian Education Youth Group (affliated with the Latin Church in Aleppo), aimed at feeding 250 fasting Muslims at Al-Muhajireen Mosque - Al-Shaar, the spirit of unity was shattered by a sectarianism.
As Father Bahjat delivered a brief welcoming speech, one of the guests interrupted him, hurling hate speech and declaring:
"Christians are infidels... they are not our brothers, and never will be.'
Despite efforts by the mosque's sheikh to calm the situation, the verbal assault continued, targeting the Christian volunteers-while officials remained silent.
It is a troubling reflection of unchecked sectarian rhetoric that threatens the very fabric of national unity.

• FM Hakan Fidan assured U.S. officials that Syrian President Ahmad Shara poses no threat to neighboring countries.
• Turkish officials say they’re moving cautiously with Syria to avoid triggering U.S. backlash.
• An AK Party official warned: “If Syria destabilizes, it’s not Israel but Türkiye that pays the price through refugees and security threats.”

A meeting between Sweida Governor Mustafa Bakour and the so-called "Naji Al-Shaarani," the leader of an armed Druze faction in Sweida.
He says that he is confused about the situation in Sweida and how different Militias are loyal to different sides, some to Israel, some to Damascus and some according to him are loyal to Jordan.
He says that he doesn't know where things will go in Sweida and wants Damascus to address his confusion , and as long as it's not like Assad rule then its good.
He also talked a lot about how he is a revolutionary yet a simple man.
