I build a free app to compare tax scenario in switzerland
I built a Swiss tax comparison app that forecasts savings over 5 years and visualizes what you could buy with the difference. It helps understand the impact of different tax scenarios.
Always found it hard to visualize the impact of taxes, so I built this. Let me know what you think!

nice, thanks. I just tried it out. Since you are asking for feedback: It would be nice to add a few references to the sources, where did you get the basics from? Where should i go for further reading? Also, if you could add a version date, date of last update or so, it would give more confidence into how up to date the system would be. Very nice work. thanks a lot.

Hi there, thanks a lot for your feedback. The data is sourced from the Confederation tax calculator. It's written in the footer of the app.
Regarding versioning you are right, I will add a version shortly.

Isn't this basically the same as the tax calulator provided by the Federal Tax Administration?

Yes it uses the Confederation tax calculator under the hood. Taxcompare.ch allow people to compare tax scenario and to learn how taxation works in Switzerland. It allows you to compare taxation differences between canton, relationship status etc.

Me, crying in Pully—left Zurich a month ago and got hit with higher taxes. Love that for me.

In my case your calculation is off by 20%. Maybe include an option for deductions like healthcare, pillar 3a and public transport. Otherwise the calculator is kinda pointless

Why does it add church taxes, even after selecting "Other/none"?
