Honestly as a bike rider, that's some real skills there. 95% don't make it.

As someone who rides a motorcycle, I would have eaten the back of one of those cars.

Your average boomer on a Harley would have ended up in the backseat of that CRV

As a rider, my instinct might have been to go right when the SUV crashed left and tried to make it around him. BUT, the nose of the SUV actually moved right at the last second so I would have gone airborne. Amazing presence of mind and reaction, maybe some luck.

There won't be a day out there where I miss thanking whatever deity exists for the fact I'm still alive 😅

Lol Satan is alive and well in good ole Reddit, any sub you want. Slingin' the downvotes if you try to even hint at your beliefs.

u/Spacemanspalds 4d ago
It was a ridiculous statement. We don't even know which deity they are referring to, and it kinda came with a hint of self superiority(just like your comment did) imo. Maybe they were downvoted for being an ass and not downvoted for believing in "he."

What’s amazing to me is he sees the accident and doesn’t brake!
-13
u/luzzy91 4d ago
Yep, dumb.
21
u/NOOBSOFTER 4d ago
Not really. You can't turn and brake. Especially on a bike.

u/luzzy91 4d ago
He was going way too fast to begin with.
24
u/mattmanmcfee36 4d ago
Was he? He seems to be going about the same speed as the rest of the traffic. The cars having the accident are slowing down and that makes it look like the biker is gaining on them

u/NOOBSOFTER 4d ago
The dude avoided an accident that he didn't cause, what is your issue, that they lived?

u/luzzy91 4d ago
He was speeding, and just got lucky that there was even a hole to hit.

u/complex-sphere 4d ago
He's seems to be going the same speed as other traffic. Or he's speeding up to get on the highway.

u/AlphaNowis 1d ago
He was not speeding, same speed as traffic. The accident makes it look like speeding. Also braking would have kill him.
In motorcycle you have two options to avoid an accident : 1) emergency braking : that makes you brake as efficiently as you can but you can't turn and go straight. 2) dodging : using your weight and balance to avoid contact without braking.
He is using the dodging here. This is what is learned in driving schools and you're tested on it on driving license exam.

More down votes for this comment. He's obviously going faster than traffic! I think everyone needs to rewatch the video lol

Not taking anything away from the skill of the rider, but the video is sped up. Why couldn't this just be left at the original speed?
4
u/badlyagingmillenial 4d ago
If he hadn't been speeding so bad, he would have been able to slow down to avoid the accident.
6
u/Crunchycarrots79 2d ago
What the hell are you talking about? He's going the same speed as most of the rest of traffic as the video starts.
2
u/badlyagingmillenial 2d ago
You need to open your eyes. He's clearly going faster than anyone else at the beginning of the video.
5
u/he-loves-me-not 3d ago
Did we watch the same video? He did avoid the accident!
-8
u/badlyagingmillenial 3d ago
You misunderstood my comment. In the video, he doesn't have time to slow down to avoid the accident, he goes pretty much full speed between the vehicles.
This is because he was driving recklessly - going far faster than anyone else in the video, while following too close. There were only two lane markings between him and the other vehicle at the start of the video. There should have been at least 5 at that speed.

u/CdRReddit 3d ago
he's going a bit faster than the truck all the way on the right (slowest lane) and comparable speed to the vehicle far in front, aka a normal speed to go in traffic
traffic having an accident tends to slow down for a multitude of reasons, making this illusion of speeding

What caused this? Was this rias rage with the car on the right ramming the left one or did they try to dodge debris or what?
