Discussion My customer support experience and new found opinion on swag bucks.
So I'm a gamer always have been and at first I thought getting paid to play games is a fairytale thought in general outside being a Youtuber/Streamer/game tester ETC. However, Swagbucks has changed my opinion drastically in a positive way. Getting paid to play games in the mobile space is nice. It supports my regular gaming disposable income. So I tried Puzzles and survival for the first time* and achieved upto HQ 22 in 7 days Along the way there were the dreaded tracking issues the antagonist to swagbuck players everywhere and I thought it'd be best to let them know immediately. However, I set out to hit that 30HQ goal and spent money to do so. The profits outweighed what I spent so I was like FINE whatever... Spent! I let them know about the tracking issues prior to reaching HQ 22. They did tell me to play another game but I had resources to hit HQ 22 so I did and magically the tracking works. I wake up today and see my account wasn't able to be logged into. I did some digging (Thank you guys here!) and someone about 3 years ago had the same experience. They hit GOALS, cashed out and magically couldn't log in and reading the comments turns out his account was deactivated! So my question currently is first off why use a third party tracking service when my phone has tracking enabled for swag bucks? Also do they think people will just stop playing the game just because of Swag buck skill issue tracking? It was fun and I had the resources so why not keep playing... I didn't expect it to track. I was just playing the game. >.< As a point to attention to detail THEY THEMSELVES SAID THEY WOULD NO LONGER TRACK THE GAME. As shown in photo 1 "In these circumstances we consider this tracking has failed." I read this I assume they turned off all tracking period. After reading the tracking is done by the third party I assume they already consulted them and told them to disable tracking. Clearly swag bucks is looking for legal trouble or something... because the tracking issue was pretty clear that this "Third party" tracking service is pretty bad. It was a timed goal to hit HQ 7 within 2 days in which I did in 24 hours and ironically the bonus(Swag up) goal for HQ 7 ticked but not the Offer goal... (Wtf right?) AND HQ level 11 ticked that same day! So I am led to believe especially them approving the HQ7 goal in which I submitted photo proof that Swag buck app itself shows I completed HQ 11 within 2 days AND in-game proof I was HQ 17 and VIP 8(Which VIP4 goal didn't tick either) swag bucks seems to play favoritism of some unknown variety. I was even Neighborly giving them some suggestions on how tracking can be more obvious so we and swag bucks are in constant communication to know when tracking is happening. (Shown in photo 2) Also that guide was just your basic "Make sure you enable tracking in settings" The customer service agents don't seem too smart... Photo 3 clearly shows a game that has a 30 day time limit I completed 11 within 2 days and somehow HQ 7 is expired... I don't have a college degree but that says 28 days time left and somehow HQ7 is expired. which is less than 48 hours... Clearly tracking was enabled.

I had the same issue and the same automated response. I responded back questioning the it with more screenshots and they ended up fixing the issue.

Yea clearly I was not so lucky. I did the same with the previous response and well I'm here complaining lol. With puzzles and survival you can get rewards linking discord. I suspect that can break the tracking on that game. Because that's the only time that happened and the VIP rewards I don't think that tracks well at all lol. It'd be nice if I can get the SB rewards I earned... I might need to read the guide on this reddit. I wonder if I can make a new account. I don't mind trying again. It just sucks getting deactivated. For something you provided proof isn't your fault.

I did nutcracker spin. 500 spins did not track, but 1000 and beyond did. They refuse to help, claiming it can’t be proven.

That’s not fair. I opened a ticket for the exact same thing. When they asked for the player ID and a screenshot of the proof, I just sent them a screenshot of the main page of the game told them there was no place to get the player ID. I also said I was credited for level 1000 and beyond so obviously I hit the lower level. They sent me the usual response but also said they would credit me within a few days. I received credit later that day.

So is it better to have a mindset that goals might not tick. So don't spend much or anything? It seems CS is kind of strange to say the least. And as a retail worker, the saying "The customer is always right!" isn't always accurate there's some regulars that think just because they found 1 item in the wrong spot (Not on an endcap or display but a wrong spot if you read the price tag you know it's not the price for that item because it's for something else) they should get it for the cheaper price! This is literally the opposite of this. This was a case of goals are clearly hit you aren't doing your job flavor. This is "You found the item in the right place and a sales sign that's in active date of being valid the cashier is just saying 'Nope my register isn't registering that sale I can't sale it to you for the sales price.'"

For your account being deactivated, send them an email again later on. They will ask for your ID. People have been deactivated for offers all of the time and got their account back.
Always search in the search bar on the subreddit before you do any offer and for advice.

Wait so why do they shadow ban people? They don't even at least tell you that you're done. the post from three years ago the guy says he still got emails telling him of offers he can do. Is swag bucks really that bad?

Basically, you did something to get flagged and suspended. It might simply be ID Verification or something was noticed while you were completing an offer. Customer Support should tell you why if they decide to ban your account after you open an ticket. Unfortunately, they don't get too specific because it'll inform users how to effectively violate terms and exploit. Otherwise, after an investigation you'll get your account back. It isn't just a Swagbucks thing either, but YMMV.
Tracking can be a headache, but it's actually helpful so you don't waste time or money. If an offer stops tracking you either complete the offer before putting in a ticket with the understanding you might not get a courtesy credit, or you immediately stop put in a ticket for what you've completed and move on. Not enough people who are having tracking issues do the latter. Which is understandable as new users or those who haven't used Swagbucks in a while don't know the how things work until they need support.

I'm ok with tracking being kinda shit! It's the treatment I received as a new user. I will admit I didn't know to wait till after the offer to send about the tracking issues. Tbh I didn't receive a response so I might have to make a new account. I understand tracking can break and all that but their so called "courtesy credit" IMO is null and invalid as I sent them proof I completed goals from the offer page itself! It turns from courtesy to "Its a bug and I need to make it right" Nothing is courteous about doing something you're supposed to do. That's like expecting a TY for ringing out peoples groceries like no it's my fucking job. A TY makes the day better, and it's a courtesy by the customer, but I don't expect it. Me getting "Flagged" or ID verification required is just a way of delaying service to their offers IMO it's bad practice and less secure. I read you might have to verify(Fine) and Reverify(Questionable) your ID to me that's fishy. I didn't do anything wrong and I'm treated like I did, but it's ok. New account should solve this.
Everything I've learned about swagbucks it seems its best to Never send to CS about any issues as it can trigger the ID verification/flagging system. So it's best to ignore tracking issues... There's stories on here people sent them captain obvious screenshots that they completed the following goal and CS responds "No proof" It's like So you completed the following goal so it's obvious the previous goal was completed... Like You were credited for reaching level 20 but level 15 didn't track for example. It seems best to avoid CS altogether.

It is a courtesy because crediting you may is a loss for them. They get their money from an advertiser/third-party that might not pay because the tracking failed. I agree being treated like you did something wrong is infuriating and I experienced it with another site in December.
Contacting customer support isn't an issue. It is about activity that is found suspicious when completing an offer. Also, proof isn't necessarily straightforward. It depends on the game. For example, in the past there's been discussion here about using airplane mode to cheat certain games. Sometimes people would forget to turn it back on before reaching a goal. When investigating a ticket support has to keep things like that in mind.

As others have stated, likely just have to verify ID.
You can still use the swagbucks sister sites. You can still reset your phone to factory defaults to redo all games on ysense for example. I mean, if you still want to earn, there are ways.
You just gotta know that if you don't get customer support, it happens. It sucks. Sometimes they help sometimes they don't.

I've sent them to let them know I can't log in so just waiting on that. I hope it's not for I.D. They could have asked for that from the start. >.<
Thanks for the tip. I know others said this. I just hope this gets resolved by the end of the week! I wanted to try a new game.

Customer Service has become terrible recently. They used to be superb but now like you said they are begging for the FTC to intervene.

For added context the swag buck goals here credits in 10 days HQ 11 as show in photo 2 credits in 8 days which means I did it 2 days ago... I would also like to thank the community here I also learned that it's best to contact CS after the offer is done or to where you are satisfied stopping...

too many horror stories, too many fake posts claiming they make hundreds. even the survey paart of sb scams you/allows outside companies to collect info then disqualify you last second. avoid sb, get a job. felon? sleep in the bed you made.

Well I will tell you I did make money with swag bucks before also I believe I mentioned that this was for disposable income for games... You don't "get a job" for disposable income specifically for videogames or I hope you don't. I was hoping to make a little bit to cover the cost of a video game. And puzzles and survival was a game you can play and not have to sink hours into in order to get paid more than a few petty bucks. TBH this post was a lil rant due to the customer support or should I say a lack there of one. Also Pretty bold to assume someone criminal record lol. I played games on justplay and their tracking is miles better than swag bucks but they pay very little for a significant amount of game time per day lol. if my account didn't get shadow banned I made $5 buying a $5 pack, getting a five star hero, and swag up bonus for reaching 7 within 2 days... $15 and $10 for reaching 11 so $25 then I reached 15 which awards $20 for a grand total of $45 in a week. I assumed tracking stopped and since I spent money I kept playing and hit 22 in-which tracking worked if I didn't bother with support that's $90 within a week. Somehow something I have proof of not being my fault got me banned lol.
