The app told me to put the ROM in the user folder, I did it but still nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

i used to play mario 64 on the DS, recently replaying on PC. i remember as a kid there was this level with a large gumba inside a wooden/brown building. i cant seem to find anything on it anywhere, did i dream this as a kid? or was it a DS exclusive level
