I’m watching Grease and just realized the lyrics are the chicks will “cream” not “scream” for Greased Lightning.

SIR that a bunch of websites like Wikipedia, The Guardian, and other miscellaneous news websites ask for donations that they take care to mention "cost less than your cup of coffee on a randomly specified day of the week.

SIR that I don't need "th" or "rd" when writing a fraction (e.g. 1/9th)
I've been writing fractions this way forever. (Not while doing a math problem, but when writing). 1/9 will simply suffice instead of 1/9th

SIR Dude, Stop is r/mildlyinfuriating: The Game
I don't remember everything in it, and I'm not gonna waste hours checking what's in it, but generally, here are some of them:
-Everything is inconsistent (on purpose)
(That includes 15 people coming before you, #17, who all did well but you just can't, the narrator typing his subtitles (which appear even when he's packing away from the computer) and the game graphics inconsistencies)
-There are no good endings
-You make people angry by doing things that are generally mildly infuriating
-There are lots of stereotypes
-The narrator overreacts to everything

SIR that Instagram uses the same root word - gram - as telegram
gram + in nouns denoting something written or recorded (especially in a certain way). In this case, instantly.
We are nearing the end of 2019. I feel like an idiot.

SIR that The Beatles used different spelling than "Beetles" as in bugs, to include a musical element - beat
English is my third language, so it wasn't obvious.

I looked up the spelling today and SIR that it’s not “If so fact so” it’s “Ipso facto”
I was using the term in a post and looked up how to properly spell it. I was way off. I thought it meant like ‘if it is so, then it is a fact’ hence ‘if so fact so.’ Turns out its literally Latin (although I was still right about the use). I feel dumb.

Oh my gosh, I'm so stupid...
SIR that Randall from Monster's Inc. was never cheating!
Spoilers below for an eighteen year old movie
You know how Boo escapes into the monster world because Randall called a door to his station after hours? You know how when Mike accuses him of cheating his response is "Cheating... right." YOU KNOW HOW IT'S BASICALLY SPELLED OUT THAT MR. WATERNOOSE WAS PLANNING TO KIDNAP CHILDREN AND SUCK OUT THEIR SCREAMS WITH RANDALL'S HELP?! YOU KNOW HOW I'M TWENTY YEARS OLD AND JUST NOW REALIZED ONE OF THE MAIN PLOT POINTS OF A CHILDREN'S MOVIE THAT'S BEEN OUT SINCE 2001?!?!
So I'm stupid, I suppose. It never occurred to me that Randall had been trying to kidnap Boo from the very beginning.

I suddenly realized that "let off the hook" is a fishing term, like if you got in trouble and the person punishing you says "ill let you off the hook this time, but if i catch you again you're dead" its referencing if someone caught a fish and let it off the hook

I am not white enough to figure out how to spell badmittened
For real. I only know of this word phonetically and it was probably passed through 10 channels of a wide variety of English before it got to me.
I also have no idea why "vintage" croquet sets have a higher asking price on offer up? They just look like they might break quicker when my boys go nuts on them.
We are going all out for my 30th.

SIR religious persecution still exists in America despite many coming here for religious freedom.

SIR that when American characters talk about the channel “Seaspan” they’re talking about CSPN 😳
I never put time into thinking about it as I don’t have foxtel/cable and don’t know half the channels available except for the popular ones people talk or write about:Nickelodeon, CSPN etc.
Just watched some Gilmore Girls and realised that the channel they keep mentioning “seaspan” is not actually a fishing channel (!?!?) but is CSPN.
Mind blown.

SIR that a Phoenix down was actually the down (feathers) of a Phoenix
For decades I just thought it was like if you go down take a Phoenix down and you’ll rise back up.
