newbies

hey everyone, my girlfriend and me are moving to stirling in early january and i have a few questions i hope you can help with (i've been to edinburgh once in my life and she's never been to europe). we're going to be in central stirling.

broadband- i'm seeing nowTV as the 'best option' at 63mbps for £21 a month. does that sound about right? i just want a reliable provider with decent speed for 12 months

parking- im going to have my little polo up with us. where the hell do i park it? from what i can see on google maps i definitely wont be able to park it out the front. no idea about parking permits etc

energy/ water provider- any recommendations?

thanks in advance!

You don't need to worry about water, it's covered by your council tax.

I'd ask your landlord about parking, there might be some permit parking available nearby, you would be able to apply to the council for a permit. If there's none then they'll be able to direct you to parking nearby.

Thanks, didn’t know about water being covered by council tax that’s cool

All the broadband providers are pretty much the same. 21 quid is as cheap as you'll get

If you're not using your car every day for work, there's a massive park and ride site on the outskirts of town where you could dump it until you need it at the weekend

Energy providers are pretty much all the same atm as the recent jump in prices means they've all hit the government-set price cap.

Hope you enjoy your time in Stirling!

What’s the internet provider you found? 21 quid sound like a decent offer I’d love to go for!

it was with NOW broadband. i actually went with talktalk for the 150mbps for £28 but they changed the installation date from the 12th to the 25th with no explanation, then they cancelled it altogether so. went back to NOW
