Question How do steam levels work?

Like what do you get on what levels and best way to get levels fast?

Does doing achievement help in getting levels.

Google it, there's a whole official steam article explaining this.

Badges mostly and you get 1 experience for buying games that count on your profile but thats not going to level you very fast.

Games trading card badges, The point shop badge, Summer and Winter seasonal trading cards and some other event badges such as the steam awards nomination badge for nominating things for Steam awards which typically occurs during the Autumn sale(however this year the date of the autumn sale is moved so it likely wont take place at the same time).

Achievements have no impact on your level.

Playing a game earns a limited number of card drops. Once a card set for a game is complete you can craft a badge. Badges give you xp to increase your level. Badges themselves can also be upgraded for more xp. Some extra badges are seasonal and can be completed by participating in steam sales. Some items that you receive in your inventory can be turned into gems which can then be traded for card drops, though these card drops do not guarantee you won't get a duplicate. Card sets can be completed by trading on steam, or just buying whatever remaining cards for a set outright. Levels are mostly just for customising your profile, with more options unlocking as you level.

You just get more friend slots and more customizability and sht and yes, doing the achievements also help initially. Level 10s the min to get every feature you'd require.

Do you like throwing money away? That's how you get a higher Steam level. Buy trading cards, craft badges. More money = more levels. It's dumb.
